Murray carried 15 times for 69 yards and two touchdowns along with two receptions for 14 yards in a game where some flurries fell in East Rutherford against the Jets. The first score was an 11-yard touchdown where he put his foot in the ground and got through a tackle attempt inside the five-yard line; and the second score was a 38-yarder on a run he showed excellent vision and speed as he cut back and zoomed to the end zone. Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer said during the week that Murray gets better with more carries, and the team could probably commit to him even more if Dalvin Cook (hamstring) misses more time. Next week against the Saints is a tough matchup, but Murray would be a solid option in fantasy lineups if he draws another start.

Alshon Jeffery caught seven passes for 88 yards and a touchdown in Sunday’s loss to the Panthers.
Jeffery was able to find the end zone from 11 yards away in the first quarter to get Philly started as they jumped out to a 17-0 lead, but Carolina ended up scoring 21 unanswered points to win 21-17. The Eagles had a chance to win the game and worked their way into Panthers territory with under a minute to go, but the big mistake of the game came on Carson Wentz’s forced throw to Jeffery in double coverage that fell incomplete, as Wendell Smallwood was wide open in the flat for an easy completion/conversion; Wentz fumbled on the team’s final offensive play. The matchup is tough next week in London against the Jaguars, but Jeffery and Zach Ertz have been locked onto by their quarterback, so the big-bodied receiver remains on the WR2 map.

Zach Ertz stays hot, but Eagles blow a 17-0 lead against the Panthers.
Ertz caught nine passes for 138 yards, as he consistently picked up yards over the middle on a team-high 11 targets. Unfortunately, Carolina made more plays down the stretch, and Philadelphia now sits at 3-4 heading into a London matchup with the Jaguars. It’ll be interesting to see what kind of game plan Jacksonville has, but Ertz would seem to draw the best matchup, and he remains a top-three option at the position in all formats. Since Carson Wentz made his season debut, the 27-year-old has gone for lines of 5/73, 10/112, 10/110/1, 7/43/1, and 9/138.

Kirk Cousins throws two touchdowns in Vikings’ win.
Cousins was 25/40 for 241 yards and two touchdowns against the Jets, a team that reportedly wanted to sign him during free agency. The first score was yet another connection with Adam Thielen on a 34-yard deep ball, and the second score was another 34-yard deep ball—this time in the fourth quarter on a fourth-down attempt—to Aldrick Robinson. Cousins will be a solid QB option in a potential shootout with Drew Brees and the Saints in Week 8.

Corey Clement held in check as Eagles fall to the Panthers, 21-17.
Clement rushed eight times for six yards, also adding two receptions for 16 yards. The second-year back was seemingly a non-factor as he split work with Wendell Smallwood (11 touches), but he remains a decent FLEX play next week against the Jaguars. It’s certainly possible that the team makes a move for Le’Veon Bell or another running back, but getting Clement more work might be a solution, too.

Mo Alie-Cox catches one pass against the Bills.
Alie-Cox’s lone Week 7 reception went for seven yards. Alie-Cox is not a fantasy option at the moment.

Erik Swoope scores again in Week 7.
Swoope caught a 17-yard pass from Andrew Luck on his lone reception of the Bills. The score makes it three straight weeks with a touchdown for Swoope, who has the trust of his quarterback in the red zone. However, it’s difficult to trust Swoope in fantasy lineups in standard-sized leagues because of his touchdown dependency.
