It was Conley’s only reception of the game. He will look to make an impact against the Bengals next Sunday night, but Conley isn’t a recommended fantasy option on a loaded offense.

The Niners signed Tom Savage, according to Jordan Schultz.
San Francisco has been going with Nick Mullens as the backup behind C.J. Beathard, but the veteran Savage could take over that job soon. Hopefully Beathard is able to remain healthy despite his almost-reckless style of play, but Savage would not be a highly-recommended fantasy option even if he hits the field this season.

Travis Kelce caught five passes for 61 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Patriots.
Kelce was second on the team with nine targets and turned in a solid performance, but New England simply refused to let him beat them with Dont’a Hightower and other defenders often chipping him at the line of scrimmage. The star tight end gets an easier matchup next Sunday night against the Bengals, so keep him rolling as a clear top-three option at the shallowest position around.

The Rams are singing Nick Williams, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
Williams started the season with the Titans but was released after their Week 5 loss to the Bills. Williams knows Rams head coach Sean McVay’s offense a bit, as last year’s offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur is with the Titans, and McVay was an assistant coach on the Redskins when Williams was there in 2013. Williams is not a recommended fantasy pickup, but he could get some time in the slot on offense while Cooper Kupp (knee) remains out. Josh Reynolds is the preferred fantasy pickup for Rams wide receivers if you’re looking to grab one.

Sammy Watkins held in check as Kansas City falls to New England, 43-40.
Watkins caught two passes for 18 yards, also adding a rush for a one-yard loss. The Patriots gave plenty of attention to Tyreek Hill (despite the late explosion) and Travis Kelce, so Watkins had plenty of one-on-one opportunities against top cornerback Stephon Gilmore. Unfortunately, Patrick Mahomes didn’t pull the trigger when Watkins was able to get open deep two or three times, but hopefully the Chiefs recognize those opportunities on tape and Mahomes looks his way more in the future. The former first-round pick remains a high-upside WR2 heading into a matchup with the Bengals.

Devonta Freeman will undergo groin surgery, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Jay Glazer just reported moments ago that Freeman is going to be placed on injured, and now we know the exact reason why, as Atlanta’s starter has dealt with various injuries. Rapoport says that Freeman could potentially return this season, so fantasy owners should stash him on an IR spot if possible. In the mean time, Tevin Coleman should be started everywhere for a Monday Night Football matchup with the Giants, and Ito Smith needs to be picked up in all leagues.

Spencer Ware handles four touches in loss to New England.
Ware rushed twice for five yards and caught two passes for nine yards. The LSU product will continue seeing a handful of touches behind Kareem Hunt, but he’s worth rostering as a handcuff more than he is a standalone fantasy option. We’ll see if he makes an impact against the Bengals next Sunday night.
