Join now >Wendell Smallwood scores in Eagles’ loss.
Smallwood again played very well for the Eagles, carrying three times for 27 yards and catching three passes for 44 yards and a touchdown. The score was on a nice wheel route where he faked to the flat and got open in the end zone for six. Meanwhile, Jay Ajayi fumbled deep in the red zone, and Corey Clement (quadricep) is not 100% and did not play despite being active. It might be time for Smallwood to get more touches, but we’ll see how the workload is split this Thursday night against the Giants.

Todd Gurley scores three times in win over the Seahawks.
Gurley rushed 22 times for 77 yards and three touchdowns, also adding four receptions for 36 yards in the 33-31 victory. The Rams relied on their superstar back to carry the load with Brandin Cooks (concussion) and Cooper Kupp (concussion) both leaving the game, and he took advantage with his second three-score game of the young season. Sean McVay’s offense looks as good as ever, and Gurley should be the top running back play in all formats heading into a matchup with the Broncos, who were just run all over by the Jets.

Jay Ajayi loses costly fumble in Eagles’ loss.
The Eagles had a great drive they took inside the ten-yard line, but Ajayi pretty much just lost control of the ball and dropped it before getting hit; it was a big play in a two-point loss for the Eagles. Overall, Ajayi had eight carries for 29 yards and one reception for five yards in the Week 5 loss. The offense continues to throw the ball twice as much as they’re running, but perhaps they’ll commit to the run more on a short week against the Giants.

Jared Goff, Rams pickup a hard-fought victory in Seattle, 33-31.
Goff was 23/32 for 321 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions, also rushing five times for 15 yards, including the game-winning conversion on fourth-and-inches in their own territory to ice the game. The touchdown came on an easy backside throw to Cooper Kupp after bootleg action, and the interceptions both weren’t bad, as one came on a deflected throw in the red zone, and the other was a Hail Mary pass to end the first half. Overall, it was another strong showing from Goff with Brandin Cooks and Kupp both leaving the game with concussions, as he picked up chunk yardage to Robert Woods, Josh Reynolds, and Khadarel Hodge in the second half. Some might be worried about the matchup in Denver next Sunday, but Goff remains a surefire QB1 option in Week 6 if Cooks and/or Kupp are healthy.

Carson Wentz leads Eagles to 15 fourth-quarter points in two-point loss to the Vikings.
Minnesota’s defense limited Philadelphia to just six points through three quarters, but the Eagles turned it on in the fourth quarter and came up short in their comeback attempt. Wentz was 24/35 for 311 yards and two touchdowns, while also adding five carries for 26 yards; he also lost a fumble in a strip sack that popped in the air to big defensive tackle Linval Joseph, who took it 64 yards to the house. Wentz might have been trying to do too much at times, but the fourth-quarter run was promising. The Eagles will attempt to hit the 25-point mark for the first time this season when they face the Giants this Thursday night.
10/8/18 - 01:13 PM ET
Virgil Green scores in Week 5 victory.
Green caught a 13-yard score in the second half of a 26-10 win for his only reception of the game. The veteran wouldn’t be worth considering most weeks behind Antonio Gates, but Green is someone to keep in mind for a home-run matchup against the Browns next Sunday.

David Morgan catches lone target against the Eagles.
Morgan gained five yards on one reception in the Week 5 win. He’s not a fantasy option at the moment.
