Join now >Chris Ivory rushes 14 times as the Bills ground-and-pound to last-second victory.
Ivory turned his 14 carries into 43 yards on a day where Buffalo ran it 43 times, and he wasn’t targeted in the passing game. The formula was probably one that the Bills would like to stick to whenever possible, but the running game faces a tough challenge in Week 6 against the Texans. Ivory won’t be a recommended FLEX play in 10- or 12-team leagues.

Julio Jones catches five passes against the Steelers.
The Falcons had trouble protecting Matt Ryan throughout the Week 5 loss, which didn’t allow him time to get the ball down the field and caused some uncharacteristic mis-fires with Jones. The All-Pro receiver didn’t catch a pass until the fourth quarter, catching five passes for 62 yards to make it a solid day. It was no fault of Jones, who was also open on a deep ball for a potential long touchdown but had it overthrown by a pressured Ryan, but this was one of the most surprising and disappointing performances of the week. Look for Jones and the entire offense to bounce back with big numbers next week against the Bucs.

LeSean McCoy handles 26 touches in upset win over the Titans.
McCoy rushed 24 times for 85 yards in the victory, also adding two receptions for a team-high 23 yards as a receiver. Buffalo rode the running game with 43 combined runs between McCoy, Chris Ivory (14 carries), Josh Allen (four carries), and Ray-Ray McCloud (one carry), which allowed them to work the clock and play stout defense in low-scoring battle. The workload alone will have McCoy trending back towards RB2 status, but it might be best to keep expectations in check until we see it become a trend, especially considering the Bills head to Houston in Week 6.

Mohamed Sanu scores long touchdown in Week 5.
Sanu had a nice catch-and-run for 43 yards in the second quarter against the Steelers for the Falcons’ only passing touchdown of the game. Overall, Sanu had four receptions for 73 yards and a touchdown in the loss. With a matchup against the Bucs next week, Sanu is in the FLEX conversation, especially in deeper leagues.

Austin Hooper catches nine passes against the Steelers.
The Steelers got a lot of pressure on Matt Ryan throughout the game, so Hooper, two received a team-high 12 targets, was a frequent target on quick underneath and outlet passes. Hooper gained 77 yards on his nine receptions in a solid performance against a team that’s struggled to defend the tight end position this season. The Buccaneers have also had their struggles against tight ends this season, so Hooper is in the backend TE1 discussion against them next week.

Josh Allen, Bills upset the Titans to improve to 2-3.
Allen was 10/19 for 82 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception, also adding four carries for 19 yards and a score in a 13-12 victory. The stats weren’t pretty on a day that Buffalo ran it 43 times, but Allen was able to get the team in field goal range for a last-second game-winner, and he continues to show flashes—like on his 14-yard touchdown run—that should have the Bills excited. Next week, the No. 7 overall pick will look to get his third win when Buffalo travels to Houston. Consider Allen a completely unpredictable QB2 option.
10/8/18 - 09:19 AM ET
Jonnu Smith held without a catch in loss to the Bills.
Smith was targeted twice in a 13-12 defeat. The second-year tight end had an ugly drop last week, and he simply hasn’t stepped up with Delanie Walker (ankle) done for the year. Smith isn’t a recommended fantasy option heading into a matchup with the Ravens in Week 6.
