Kearse was targeted six times in the Week 4 loss, gaining 35 yards on his three receptions. The veteran receiver also did a good job of springing Quincy Enunwa in the screen game. Kearse has a steady role in the Jets offense, but he’s not a highly-recommended fantasy option at the moment.

Nick Chubb gets two carries in Week 2.
Chubb gained 14 yards on his two attempts, with the runs going for eight and six yards. The Browns apparently don’t want to put anymore on Chubb’s plate despite him looking good, though, so he’s not a fantasy option right now. We would think Chubb will eventually work his way into at least a timeshare with starter Carlos Hyde.

Quincy Enunwa leads Jets in Week 3 receiving.
Enunwa accounted for a lot of New York’s success through the air against the Browns, catching four passes (on eight targets) for 57 yards, leading the team in all categories. Three of the catches went for first downs on very successful screens, and Enunwa was close to breaking at least one of them for a score. Enunwa is clearly Sam Darnold’s number one target, which at least carries FLEX appeal. Next week at Jacksonville will be a difficult matchup, though; however, the Jets are likely to try to get the ball in Enunwa’s hands.

Baker Mayfield leads Browns in second half to snap 19-game losing streak with 21-17 victory over the Jets.
Making his NFL debut at the end of the second quarter in relief of Tyrod Taylor (concussion), Mayfield went 17/23 for 201 yards, zero touchdowns, and zero interceptions. The No. 1 overall pick also caught a two-point conversion on Cleveland’s version of the “Philly Special” in a comeback win. It was just a different feel when Mayfield, who also had his receivers drop at least three drops that would have padded his stats even more, came into the game, as he plays with a ton of confidence and is willing to rip throws that Tyrod Taylor simply wouldn’t. Overall, the Oklahoma product had an excellent debut, and the game showed that Cleveland made a mistake not starting him to begin with. He did have one or two misplaced balls and made an ill-advised throw in the red zone that should have been picked, but some growing pains are to be expected. Mayfield is immediately on the streaming radar for Week 4 against the Raiders, but he isn’t a must-own in redraft leagues at such a deep position.

Carlos Hyde scores in Browns’ loss.
Hyde again worked as the clear starter for Cleveland, just as he did throughout the summer and in Week 1. He carried 16 times for 43 yards and a touchdown while adding one reception (on one target) for seven yards. The score was a one-yard run. Talented second-round rookie Nick Chubb should probably get more work, but Hyde is the clear top option at the moment and has a touchdown in each of the first two games.

Isaiah Crowell scores twice in Week 3.
Crowell had a couple of second-quarter scores in the Jets’ loss to the Browns, with both touchdowns coming deep in the red zone. Crowell had 16 carries for 34 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns, along with two receptions for 17 receiving yards. Unfortunately, his highlight was a distasteful and immature touchdown celebration after his second score against his former team, which should cost him a lot of money with the NFL. He was also visibly frustrated with his offensive linemen on certain plays despite them doing the dirty work on both of his scores—so that wasn’t a good look either. It’s hard to trust Crowell in fantasy lineups with a matchup against the Jaguars in Week 4.

Tyrod Taylor throws one touchdown and one interception in Browns’ loss.
Taylor was struggling to get a lot going against the Saints, but a late 47-yard deep strike to Antonio Callaway was huge, and it would have been a go-ahead score if not for a missed extra point. Taylor then got his team in position for a game-tying field goal, but it was also missed. Overall, Taylor was 22/30 for 246 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and four carries for 26 rushing yards. Some are clamoring for Baker Mayfield after a a slow start by the offense, but that’s unlikely to happen given everything the Browns have said. However, Taylor’s outlook is not as bright with the team parting ways with former All-Pro receiver Josh Gordon. Taylor and the Browns face the Jets this Thursday night.
