Join now >The Raiders waived Marcell Ateman, according to Michael Gehlken.
This one is a bit of a surprise, as Raiders head coach Jon Gruden said that he likes the rookie receiver from Oklahoma State. Oakland is almost certainly trying to sneak the sixth-rounder onto the practice squad, but there’s a chance he’s claimed by one of the other 31 teams.

The Seahawks have signed wide receiver Tyler Lockett to a three-year extension, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
Garafolo says the extension gives Lockett $20 million guaranteed, with a base value of $31.8 million and a max value of $37.8 million. This is a very good contract for Lockett, who the Seahawks must expect to be a huge part of the offense in 2018 and beyond given they are paying him like a top-25 receiver. Another year removed from his broken leg suffered on Christmas Eve 2016 and with a new contract that comes with high expectations, Lockett is one of the better late-round selections in fantasy drafts.

The Patriots are releasing Mike Gillislee, according to multiple reports.
Former Bengal Jeremy Hill is apparently safe as a potential “big back” for New England. There were high expectations for Gillislee after he was signed as a restricted free agent from the Bills last year, but inconsistency and injuries, along with playing in a deep running back group, led to today’s release. Gillislee won’t have much trouble finding another team.

The Packers are trading Brett Hundley to the Seahawks, according to ESPN.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Rob Demovsky say the Seahawks are sending a 2019 draft pick to Green Bay for Hundley. The 2015 fifth-round pick is almost certain to become Seattle’s backup quarterback—perhaps right when he gets the offense down. Meanwhile, the Packers will go with second-year second-round pick DeShone Kizer behind Aaron Rodgers moving forward. For those that just look at the numbers, they might not think this is a great move for Seattle; however, we believe Hundley has a lot of talent and ability, and he should be an excellent backup for Russell Wilson.

The Jets waived Clive Walford, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The 2015 third-round pick of the Raiders was claimed by the Jets in April. Walford had three touchdowns in each of his first two NFL seasons, and he’ll receive interest from other teams moving forward.

Doug Baldwin says his knee will not be at 100% this season.
When asked if he underwent surgery, Baldwin said “it depends on your definition of surgery,” indicating he might have had arthroscopic knee surgery. Baldwin went on to say that his left knee is at about 80-85% and won’t get to 100% this season, saying “it’s something I’ve got to deal with for the rest of the season.” Seattle’s No. 1 receiver is expected to be ready to go for Week 1 on September 9 against the Broncos, but he could show some signs of rust at less than full strength. Despite the opportunity for a ton of targets, Baldwin might have a hard time matching his fourth-round ADP in 2018.

Nick Williams has been waived by the Titans.
Williams received some first-team work in the preseason and caught a touchdown, but he just misses the 53-man roster. Williams should receive interest from other teams.
