Zach Miller | Retired TE

Zach Miller had urgent vascular surgery.

Miller’s devastating disclosed knee that tore an artery is reportedly bad enough that it might cause him to lose his leg, but it appears what is being called by the team as a “successful surgery” after quick action by everyone involved probably saved the leg. He’s set to get an MRI, which reportedly would not happen if there was still danger of losing the leg, so that is an excellent sign. We all just need to pray, and hopefully Miller is able to get back to 100% health.

Michael Campanaro | Free Agent WR

Michael Campanaro (shoulder) is out for Week 9.

This is Campanaro’s second-straight missed game, but hopefully he’s able to get healthy during the team’s Week 10 bye week.

A.J. Derby | Free Agent TE

A.J. Derby scores in Week 8.

Derby caught a touchdown late in the game on a corner route, and he had two receptions for 21 yards and the touchdown overall. He’s been playing well lately, but Derby is not yet a recommended fantasy option.

Jared Goff | Lions QB

Jared Goff needs just 14 completions to torch Giants in 51-17 win.

Goff was 14/22 for 311 yards, four touchdowns, and zero turnovers to advance to 6-2. He got things going with an eight-yard touchdown to Tyler Higbee in the first quarter, then connected with Robert Woods on a screen pass that he housed from 52 yards away in the second quarter. The highlight was a 67-yard bomb to Sammy Watkins for his third touchdown, and he finished things off with a four-yard score to Woods again in the third quarter. Hilariously written off as a bust last season, Goff leads the NFL in yards per attempt on the league’s highest-scoring offense. If available, he’s a high-end streaming option against the Texans in Week 10.

11/6/17 - 12:35 PM ET

Eric Ebron | Free Agent TE

Eric Ebron catches two passes in Week 8.

With trade rumors flying and amid some jeers from the home crowd, this could’ve been Ebron’s last game as a Lion. He was targeted six times, catching two passes for 58 yards including a long of 44 yards on a catch-and-run late in the game. As for Ebron’s fantasy value, he might be better off traded to another team, but we’ll see if anything happens by Tuesday’s trade deadline.

10/30/17 - 02:38 PM ET

Alvin Kamara | Saints RB

Alvin Kamara dominates in Week 9 win.

Kamara rushed 10 times for 68 yards and a touchdown, also adding six receptions for a team-high 84 yards and another score. The rushing touchdown came from six yards out in the third quarter, but the better play was the 33-yard catch-and-run in the second quarter where he somehow stayed up and the poor tackling Bucs watched him run into the end zone. Kamara needs to be in lineups every week as a solid RB2 in standard leagues and RB1/RB2 option in PPR leagues.

11/6/17 - 12:22 PM ET

Bennie Fowler | 49ers WR

Bennie Fowler III gets six targets against the Chiefs.

Fowler unfortunately struggled in this one, dropping a couple passes including one in the end zone for a would-be touchdown. Overall, he had two receptions for 35 yards, with his long reception going for 29 yards on a nice catch-and-run. With Emmanuel Sanders set to return in Week 9, Fowler’s FLEX appeal is gone for now.
