Jamaal Charles | Retired RB

Jamaal Charles gets nine touches in Week 8.

Charles received a good amount of early work in his first game against his former team, but he had an early fumble that was returned for a touchdown by the Chiefs. It looked like his forward progress was stopped, but the officials didn’t blow the play dead so it was too late. Overall, Charles had eight carries for 39 yards and one receptions for five yards in the game. He’ll continue mixing in the backfield for the Broncos, but he’s just a FLEX option in deeper leagues for right now.

Dede Westbrook | Free Agent WR

Dede Westbrook will not play in Week 9 after not being activated from IR before Saturday’s 4 PM deadline.

Westbrook was expected to make his NFL debut against the Bengals on Sunday, but he will now likely make it in Week 10. The fourth-round pick out of Oklahoma was a Heisman finalist last season, and he probably would have been at least a Day 2 pick if not for off-field concerns. Westbrook is worth a look in all fantasy leagues as the potential number-one option for Jacksonville down the stretch.

11/4/17 - 07:57 PM ET

Terrance West | Free Agent RB

Terrance West (calf) has been ruled out for Week 8.

It’s not a surprise, as the Ravens are playing tomorrow night against the Dolphins, giving West less time to receiver from his calf injury. He remains week-to-week and should be considered questionable for Week 9.

10/25/17 - 03:54 PM ET

Devontae Booker | Free Agent RB

Devontae Booker scores against the Chiefs.

Booker probably played the best in Denver’s backfield tonight, carrying six times for 40 yards and adding three receptions for 14 yards in the Broncos’ loss. After missing the early parts of the season while recovering from his wrist injury, Booker could be poised to get more and more work moving forward. There are probably better FLEX options in Week 9 against the Eagles, but Booker is someone to keep an eye on.

10/30/17 - 11:51 PM ET

Bobby Rainey | Ravens RB

Bobby Rainey Jr. gets two touches in Week 9.

Rainey carried once for two yards and caught one pass for -1 yards. With Danny Woodhead (hamstring) set to return in Week 11, it’s possible the Ravens either move on or don’t have Rainey active on game days moving forward.

11/6/17 - 12:31 PM ET

Justin Hunter | Free Agent WR

Justin Hunter catches one pass in win over the Lions.

It was a seven-yard reception on a key third down, as Hunter saw some playing time with Martavis Bryant inactive. Even if Bryant were traded or made a weekly inactive, Hunter wouldn’t be a fantasy option.

10/30/17 - 02:36 PM ET

Devonta Freeman | Free Agent RB

Devonta Freeman gains 61 yards on 13 touches in win over the Jets.

Freeman rushed 12 times for 41 yards and caught a 20-yard pass, as he was out-touched (15 to 13) and out-gained (104 to 61) by backup Tevin Coleman. Half of Coleman’s production came on a 52-yard run, but it is still slightly concerning that he received so much work after being in the game for just 19 snaps in the team’s Week 7 loss. Hopefully this was just a one-week thing for Freeman owners, and they should still insert him in lineups as an RB1 option against the Panthers next Sunday.
