Join now >Marlon Mack scores in Week 8.
Mack couldn’t get much going on the ground, carrying 11 times for 27 yards, but he also added three receptions for 36 yards and a touchdown, with the score coming on a screen pass for 24 yards. The rookie running back is an explosive weapon out of the backfield, and the Colts should keep him very involved there moving forward. He might not be a great FLEX option in fantasy lineups yet, but Mack could get there soon.

Mike Wallace is listed as questionable for Sunday against the Titans.
Wallace is out of concussion protocol and practiced fully, so he’s expected to be out there. However, Wallace was cleared of his concussion ahead of last Thursday’s game before ultimately deciding he did not want to play again so soon in risk it. We definitely don’t blame him for wanting to put his health first, and he’ll probably be out there now two weeks removed from his concussion suffered in Week 7. The active/inactives will be out at 11:30 AM ET on Sunday, so check back in there if you want to insert Wallace into your lineup.

Alex Smith plays mistake-free as the Chiefs defeat the Broncos.
Smith’s numbers weren’t the flashiest, but he played well and helped get the Chiefs to 5-2 on the season. Smith was 14/31 for 202 yards and a touchdown while adding four carries for 33 yards rushing in the Monday night win. Smith’s touchdown was on a sluggo route to a wide-open Travis Kelce in the first quarter, and he could’ve had another touchdown if not for a drop in the end zone on by Demetrius Harris on a perfect throw late in the game. The veteran quarterback is now up to 16 touchdowns and no interceptions on the season, and he’ll be a QB1 against Dallas in Week 9.
10/30/17 - 11:42 PM ET
Martellus Bennett (shoulder) is doubtful for Week 9.
Bennett didn’t practice all week and is unlikely to play on Monday night against Detroit. The veteran tight end wasn’t a good fantasy option even with Aaron Rodgers in the lineup, so he’s way off the fantasy radar and shouldn’t be on fantasy teams anymore anyway.

UPDATE: Martavis Bryant will not play on Sunday.
Bryant said Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin told him he will not be playing on Sunday against the Lions, and it’s apparently because of “social media.” The troubled receiver complained to ESPN’s Josina Anderson and said he wants out if the Steelers don’t increase his role, and he also said in a now-deleted Instagram post that teammate rookie receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is “no where near” better than him. Pittsburgh should just bench Bryant for the rest of the season, as his attitude is not something that’s needed for a team trying to win a Super Bowl.
10/25/17 - 03:45 PM ET
Jesse James caught two passes for 42 yards in Pittsburgh’s Week 8 win over the Lions.
Operating as the clear top tight end with Vance McDonald out, James long reception went for 32 yards. McDonald should be back after the team’s Week 9 bye, so the two will probably split time and limit each other’s fantasy value.

Tevin Coleman leads backfield in touches, yards in Week 8 win.
Coleman rushed 14 times for 82 yards—with a long run of 52 yards—and caught a 22-yard pass in a 25-20 victory over the Jets. Perhaps the heavy rain had something to do with it, but it was surprising to see Coleman out-touch Devonta Freeman 15 to 13, though Freeman gained just 61 yards on his 13 touches. This could end up being a one-week thing, but Steve Sarkisian might also want to give Coleman more touches with the offense struggling recently. For now, Coleman should still be considered a high-upside RB2 with Freeman as a solid RB1.
