DeAndre Hopkins goes off against the Seahawks.

In a difficult matchup in which he probably should’ve been downgraded to more of a WR2, Hopkins had his best game of the season, catching eight of 11 targets for 224 yards and at touchdown. The touchdown was a potential game-winner late in the game on a 72-yard screen pass that he took to the house, but Seattle scored with under 25 second to go. It didn’t matter who was covering Hopkins, as he did fine against top corner Richard Sherman, including a nice back-shoulder catch on a perfect throw from Deshaun Watson. Look for Hopkins to get another ten-plus targets in Week 9 against the Colts, as he’ll be a great WR1. He’s bee right up there with Antonio Brown as the top fantasy receiver so far this season.

Ricardo Louis catches two passes in Week 8.

Louis was targeted six times, gaining 42 yards on his two receptions. He’s Cleveland’s most consistent wide receiver right now, but Louis is not a reliable fantasy option yet.

Laquon Treadwell catches one pass in Week 8.

The second-year receiver had a 21-yard reception to set up a field goal at the end of the first half, and he was also targeted on a deep ball while covered tightly, but it was overthrown. Treadwell isn’t a fantasy option yet, but he’s showing positive signs.

Kirk Cousins, Redskins fall to 3-4 with loss to Dallas.

Cousins was 26/39 for 263 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He also lost a fumble, and the interception was returned for a touchdown by Byron Jones. The elements didn’t help, as there was constant rain throughout, but the lack of production on the outside is doomed Washington’s offense so far this season. Against Dallas, Josh Doctson had one yard and Terrelle Pryor didn’t catch a pass. The good news is Jamison Crowder came alive and Chris Thompson continues to make plays, but the team won’t turn things around if they don’t get consistent production on the perimeter. Cousins should stay out of lineups against Seattle next week.

Jason Witten caught three passes for 31 yards in Sunday’s win over Washington.

Witten was in a good spot against the Redskins, but rain caused Dallas to keep the ball on the ground. The veteran tight end has a difficult matchup against the Chiefs next Sunday, so it might be best to look elsewhere for Week 9.

Alshon Jeffery gets team-high six targets against the Redskins.

Jeffery was targeted down the field by Carson Wentz a few times, but he couldn’t take advantage with a huge night—even with top Redskins cornerback Josh Norman out. Jefferey caught two passes for 37 yards in a solid game, it just wasn’t the type of numbers his fantasy owners would have liked. It seems Zach Ertz and Nelson Agholor are clearly the top two targets for the Eagles, but Jeffery has a chance at some big numbers against a beatable 49ers secondary next week.

LeGarrette Blount gets 14 carries in Week 7.

Blount could only pick up 29 yards on his 14 attempts, and that included a long of 21 yards. The Redskins did good job on Blount throughout the game, and he’ll look to find more room to run against the 49ers in Week 8.
