Antonio Gates catches both targets against the Patriots.

The veteran tight end gained 25 yards on his two receptions in the Week 8 loss. The future Hall-of-Famer isn’t a recommended fantasy option anymore, as he doesn’t get enough work in the offense.

Matt Ryan, Falcons continue to struggle in Super Bowl LI rematch.

Ryan was 23/33 for 233 yards and one touchdown, as Atlanta was scoreless until the game was all but over in an eventual 23-7 loss. The 2016 NFL MVP also rushed three times for 37 yards, but the offensive issues were magnified on Sunday Night Football, as they couldn’t do much of anything against New England. Combined with last week’s collapse against the Dolphins, it’s fair to wonder whether a change on the offensive staff could be coming. Perhaps they will turn things around the Jets next Sunday, but Ryan needs to be downgraded to a low-end QB1 until things are figured out.

Austin Ekeler sees 11 touches in Week 7 win.

Ekeler rushed seven times for 38 yards and caught four passes for six yards, including a one-yard touchdown. This was probably a one-week thing, as Melvin Gordon should be back in 25+ touch range next Sunday against New England.

Mike Tolbert gets five touches in Week 8.

Tolbert carried four times for 14 yards and caught one pass for -2 yards. Tolbert will chip in an contribute to the Bills in real life, but he’s not a reliable fantasy option right now.

Matt Breida catches 21-yard touchdown in Week 8 loss.

Breida rushed five times for 17 yards and caught four passes for 39 yards and a score. He actually led the team in catches and yards, and the touchdown was San Francisco’s only touchdown of the game. Still, unless Carlos Hyde is traded this week, the rookie is an unreliable fantasy option barring an injury. The 49ers will look to pickup their first win of the season next Sunday against Arizona.

Melvin Gordon (foot) is officially active for Week 8.

Gordon was listed as questionable after being limited in practice this week, but there was never much doubt about the third-year running back’s status. You can safely insert Gordon into your lineup as an RB1 against the Patriots in what could be a high-scoring game with many scoring opportunities.

Amari Darboh grabs two passes in Week 7.

The rookie receiver form Michigan made a couple of nice catches, including one that he snatched at the sideline. Darboh had 29 yards on his two receptions (two targets) in the Seahawks’ win over the Giants. He’s not a fantasy option yet, but it looks like he has the trust of Russell Wilson.
