Marquise Goodwin (back) is active.

Goodwin dealt with a back issue during the week, but he was expected to be ready today against the Eagles. Philadelphia is a beatable secondary, so Goodwin has some boom potential this week in a game the Niners are expected to be playing from behind in.

Melvin Gordon totals 44 yards in Week 7 win.

Gordon rushed 18 times for 38 yards, adding a six-yard reception in a 21-0 victory over the Broncos. Denver was clearly focused on stopping Gordon, and that was probably even more true after the Giants gashed them on the ground last Sunday night. The superstar back should have a much easier time against New England next week. He’s an elite RB1.

Danny Amendola catches two passes against the Chargers.

Amendola was targeted six times in the game, but he was only able to gain 14 yards on his two receptions. It’s possible the Patriots are preserving him a bit, which was the speculation before the season after Julian Edelman’s unfortunate season-ending injury in the preseason. Through eight games, he’s on pace for 66 receptions for 676 yards and two touchdowns. Amendola should only be considered a FLEX in PPR leagues for now, but don’t be surprised if he starts putting up similar numbers as earlier this season.

T.Y. Hilton shows remorse for comments about the Colts offensive line.

After yesterday’s loss to the Jaguars in which the team gave up ten sacks, Hilton said they receivers were winning their matchups but the offensive line needs to do better. Hilton said today he “stabbed them in the back” by saying that and was wrong, while adding that he plans to apologize to each of them individually. The dynamic receiver does seen truly sorry for the comments, and he hasn’t shown selfish qualities in the past. Hopefully they can put this behind them and move forward as they get ready for the Bengals this week.

Dontrelle Inman is inactive for Week 8.

Inman just arrived with the team during the week after getting traded from the Chargers, so he wasn’t expected to be ready this week anyway. The Bears have a Week 9 bye, so Inman will have an extra week to get comfortable with the offense heading into their Week 10 matchup with Green Bay. He’s worth a flier as a potential number one receiver, but Chicago has a very run-heavy offense.

Sammie Coates (hamstring) is active against the Titans.

Like teammate Kenny Britt, Coates is active after being listed as questionable. He does have a good matchup against the Titans, but it’s difficult to trust Coates in fantasy lineups. The third-year receiver might need a big play to make a fantasy impact.

Adam Humphries caught four passes for 26 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Panthers.

A crucial fumble lost in Week 7 might have potentially opened the door for rookie Chris Godwin as the team’s third receiver, but it didn’t happen on Sunday. Humphries isn’t a fantasy option against the Saints next week.
