DeShone Kizer | Free Agent QB

The Browns bench DeShone Kizer again.

The rookie is really struggling in his first year in the NFL, as this is already the second time this season he’s been benched. Before leaving, Kizer was 12/20 for 114 yards and two interceptions in what could be his last start of the season. Second-year quarterback Cody Kessler is now in the game, and he might not give up the starting job. The Browns should probably stick with him if he does even average, as the constant switching of quarterbacks probably isn’t inspiring confidence in a team that’s having trouble winning games.

Trey Burton | Free Agent TE

Trey Burton caught two passes for 21 yards in Sunday’s win over the 49ers.

Burton is a versatile player that can man the slot or go out wide, but he’s not a reliable fantasy option with Zach Ertz healthy. That said, he might have a bigger role against the Broncos next Sunday.

Keenan Allen | Bears WR

Keenan Allen catches four passes against the Patriots.

Allen was surprisingly only targeted five times in the game, but he picked up good yardage on his receptions, gaining 61 yards in the game. Fantasy owners were probably hoping for more points from Allen, but it was a fine day. Through eight games, Allen is on pace for 80 receptions, 1,096 yards, and two touchdowns. With his two matchups against Denver out of the way, look for Allen to increase those numbers over the second half of the season and push closer to the 100-reception mark—though his Week 10 matchup with Jacksonville will be a difficult one.

Roger Lewis | Free Agent WR

Roger Lewis catches one pass versus Seattle.

Lewis was targeted six times, but he could only pull in one pass for 12 yards in the Giants’ Week 7 loss. He’ll have some easier matchups and good games moving forward, but there are probably better fantasy options out there.

10/23/17 - 03:46 PM ET

Paul Richardson | Free Agent WR

Paul Richardson scores in Week 7.

Richardson was targeted two times, catching both passes for over 20 yards and racking up 61 yards in the win over the Giants. The touchdown was a 38-yarder on a flea flicker that looked like it might’ve been an intercepted but was ruled simultaneous possession. The big-play receiver has three touchdowns on the season, but he’s more of a real-life playmaker for Seattle than he is a reliable fantasy option.

10/23/17 - 03:26 PM ET

LeSean McCoy | Retired RB

LeSean McCoy gets 33 touches against the Raiders.

This was certainly McCoy’s best game of the season, as he carried 27 times for 151 yards and a touchdown while adding six receptions (on seven targets) for 22 yards. McCoy’s 48-yard touchdown came with just over three minutes left and put the Bills up three possessions against the Raiders. All three of McCoy’s touchdowns this season have come in the last two games, and he’ll look to keep it going against a Jets team he had 110 rushing yards against in Week 1.

10/30/17 - 01:11 PM ET

Brandin Cooks | Saints WR

Brandin Cooks gets eight targets in Week 8.

The Chargers did a very nice job on Cooks, as he caught five passes for only 26 yards and a lot of it came early in the game. Through eight games in his first season as a Patriot, Cooks is on pace for 66 receptions for 1,126 yards, and six touchdowns, which is pretty much right at his pace from his last two seasons in New Orleans. He only has one 100-yard game this season and many expected a monstrous season from Cooks, so we’ll see if he can pick it up in the second half of the year (not that he isn’t playing well so far).
