Garrett Celek | Retired TE

Celek catches one pass in Week 8 loss.

It went for 24 yards on the opening drive of the game. Celek isn’t a fantasy option with just 61 yards this season.

Charcandrick West | Retired RB

Charcandrick West (concussion) is expected to be ready for Week 8.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said it today, and the release of C.J. Spiller for a fourth time verifies that. Expect West to return in a big game against the Broncos on Monday Night Football in Week 8.

Duke Johnson Jr. | Free Agent RB

Duke Johnson Jr. leaves Week 8 game.

It’s late in the fourth quarter and Johnson is headed for the locker room with an independent neurologist, so his day is probably done. Before leaving, Johnson had six carries for 33 yards and four receptions for ten yards, as the stingy Vikings defense did a good job of limiting him when he got the ball in space. The Browns have a bye in Week 9, so we’d fully expect him to be 100% and ready to go against the Lions in a couple Sundays from now.

10/29/17 - 12:19 PM ET

Teddy Bridgewater | Lions QB

Teddy Bridgewater (knee) could return as early as Week 10, according to Ian Rapoport.

Bridgewater is practicing fully with the team, but he obviously needs some time after not doing so for 14 months. The Vikings have a bye in Week 9, so they might have a decision to make about their starting quarterback at that time. Case Keenum is playing well right now in relief of Sam Bradford, so he’s an option if he keeps it up. And of course Sam Bradford could be close to 100% recovered from his knee injury by that time. This quarterback situation is totally up in the air.

Branden Oliver | Free Agent RB

Branden Oliver gets three carries in Week 8.

Oliver gained three yards on his three attempts, as he got some short-yardage work against the Patriots. We’ll see if he gets some goal line touches if they get chances there in the coming games, but Oliver isn’t a fantasy option right now.

10/30/17 - 12:01 PM ET

Emmanuel Sanders | Free Agent WR

Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) is day-to-day.

He was previously week-to-week, and there’s a chance he returns next Monday night against the Chiefs. However, because the Broncos don’t play until the last game of Week 8, there’s a chance we don’t get clarity on Sanders’ game status until just ahead of the Monday night kickoff. His status will be one of the ones to closely monitor this week.

10/23/17 - 05:14 PM ET

Evan Engram | Broncos TE

Evan Engram scores for second straight week.

The de facto number one receiver for the Giants caught six of 12 targets for 60 yards and a touchdown versus Seattle, with the touchdown coming on a route across the end zone where he made a nice lunging catch. The Giants have a bye next week, but Engram will be a TE1 when the team returns in Week 9. There is concern about defenses taking him away, but Engram should remain in lineups as long as he’s putting up numbers.
