Latavius Murray gets 20 touches in Vikings’ win.

The Browns have one of the best run defenses in the NFL, and they did a good job of limiting Murray on his carries. Murray gained 39 yards on his 19 carries while adding one reception for eight yards. Jerick McKinnon (14 carries for 50 yards) found more room to run against the Browns, but it’s good to see them both get more than enough touches to make an impact. They’ll both be starting options when they return from their Week 9 bye.

Kirk Cousins throws three touchdowns in Redskins’ loss to the Eagles.

Cousins was 30/40 for 303 yards, three touchdowns, and and interception, and the loss dropped him to 0-6 for his carer on Monday Night Football. He also added three carries for 18 yards. The Eagles defense put a lot of pressure on Cousins and sacked him four times, but he played fine. The first touchdown was in the second quarter on a pass to Chris Thompson in  the flat, and the next two were late in the game to Jordan Reed with the Redskins down. The interception wasn’t really his fault, as he was hit as he threw and it went right to Eagles defensive back Corey Graham. Overall, Cousins continues to get a lot of pass attempts per game, and he’ll remain a QB1 option in Week 8 against Dallas.

Paul Perkins (ribs) is out for Week 7.

Perkins was actually ruled out before the weekend. Orleans Darkwa will handle most of the work in the backfield for the Giants, but rookie Wayne Gallman should mix in for a good amount of work too.

Hunter Henry gets only two targets in Week 8.

Henry was thought to be in a prime spot in a potential shootout with the Patriots, but it didn’t turn out to be a shootout and Henry didn’t get a ton of work in the game. He caught both of his targets, gaining 11 yards, and it might be a good idea for the team to try and get him more involved after their Week 9 bye. Through eight games, the second-year tight end is on pace for 56 receptions, 624 yards, and four touchdowns, but he’s a good bet to increase that pace in the second half of the season.

Tevin Coleman sees just six touches in SNF loss.

Coleman rushed six times for 16 yards, and was held without a catch in the passing game. The Super Bowl LI rematch did not live up to expectations at all, as Atlanta’s struggling offense couldn’t even make it a game. Coleman should get more touches next week against the Jets, but he needs to be downgraded to low-end RB2/FLEX status until the Falcons improve.

Zay Jones gets five targets against the Raiders.

Jones caught three passes for 32 yards, with a long of 22 yards, in the Bills’ win. This was Jones’ best game as a pro so far, and he’ll look to keep progressing as the season moves forward. He’s just a dynasty league option, though.

Hunter Henry leads team in receiving as Chargers win third straight.

Henry caught four passes for a game-high 73 yards, as things got started early with a 34-yard reception on the first drive followed by a target in the end zone that caused a pass interference penalty. The 22-year-old is the clear top tight end for Los Angeles after a shaky start to the season, and he needs to be picked up wherever available as an every-week TE1 option. He will probably be ranked as a top-five option against New England next Sunday.
