Join now >Willie Snead (hamstring) is inactive for the Saints.
This one is a bit of a surprise, as Snead was expected to be active today. His hamstring injury is still nagging him, so we’ll see if he can play in his second game of the season next Sunday against Chicago.

Doug Martin rushed 18 times for 71 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Panthers.
He also caught a four-yard pass. On a day with serious offensive struggles on both sides, it’s surprising that Tampa Bay didn’t commit more to Martin and the running game. The 2-5 Bucs stare a 2-6 start in the face with a trip to New Orleans next week, and they should rely on Martin to keep the ball out of Drew Brees’ hands. He’s a decent RB2 play for Week 9.

Tyler Lockett gets seven touches in Seahawks’ win.
Lockett caught four of seven targets for 29 yards and carried three times for 15 yards against the Giants. He was targeted on a deep pass in the end zone where he took a big hit and was down for a few minutes, but he returned to the game very quickly. Lockett is a very good weapon for Seattle, but he’s not a recommended fantasy option right now.

Danny Amendola (knee) says he’ll play Sunday.
Amendola is officially listed as questionable, but he said he’s good to go and will be out there against the Chargers. It doesn’t sound like he’ll be limited at all from the hyperextended knee from last Sunday’s game against the Falcons, so you can insert Amendola into your fantasy lineups as a FLEX option as one of Tom Brady’s targets.

Stefon Diggs (groin) says his status is “up in the air” for Sunday.
Diggs didn’t practice yesterday, and we’ll see what the practice report says today when it’s released. He did say again that this groin injury isn’t as bad as the one he had last season, which forced him to miss three games. Still, consider him in real danger of missing his second straight game this week.

Chargers can’t quite come back against the Patriots.
Down 11 heading into the fourth quarter, the Chargers had a chance to tie the game at the end but a Hail Mary attempt was intercepted as time expired after Philip Rivers got them into position to have a chance. Overall, Rivers was 17/30 for 212 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, with the score coming on a 24-yard pass to the end zone to an open Travis Benjamin. Through eight games, the veteran signal-caller is on pace for 4,056 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions while completing 60.5% of his passes. The Chargers have a bye before a difficult matchup against Jacksonville in Week 10.

Geronimo Allison caught one pass in Sunday’s loss to the Saints.
It went for 14 yards. Allison isn’t a fantasy option with the top-three receivers all healthy, especially with Aaron Rodgers out until at least Week 15.
