Golden Tate (shoulder) is officially questionable for Week 8.

Tate was limited in practice all week, but all signs point to him playing on Sunday, including his posting of a gif of the Simpsons character Mr. Burns saying “excellent.” Maybe the tweet had to do with something else, but the though is he’s feeling good and ready to go for Sunday night against Pittsburgh. Make sure you have insurance options in case Tate doesn’t play, but expect him to be out there for the Lions.

Andre Ellington (quad) is inactive for Week 7.

Ellington was expected to be out today in London, and this is a hit to Arizona’s offense. Adrian Peterson was getting almost all of the early-down carries regardless, but Ellington was a solid weapon on third down. This could mean Carson Palmer looks Larry Fitzgerald’s way more today against the Rams.

Jameis Winston struggles in Week 8 loss to the Panthers.

Winston was 21/38 for 210 yards, zero touchdowns, and two interceptions. He also rushed three times for 13 yards and lost a fumble. Despite nearly 400 yards against Buffalo last week, the inconsistent Jameis struggled mightily against the Panthers. Now 2-5, the Bucs are facing a near must-win against the Saints in New Orleans next week. Perhaps he will have a big game, but we would recommend someone more reliable than Winston against an improved Saints defense.

Bennie Fowler caught five passes for 45 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Chargers.

Fowler drew a start with Emmanuel Sanders inactive, and he benefitted from Demaryius Thomas being occupied by Casey Hayward. He will kick back to the slot once Sanders returns, but Fowler could get another start against the Chiefs in Week 8. He could be used to stick on the right side of the formation and keep DT away from Marcus Peters, though, so Fowler will be a riskier option next week.

Kenny Golladay (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday.

The rookie receiver was expected to be ready after the Lions’ Week 7 bye, but the opposite happened, as he didn’t practice Thursday and Friday after apparently re-aggravating the injury in during a limited participation in practice on Wednesday. This is a pretty bad hamstring issue for the rookie (obviously), and just consider him week-to-week for now.

Jameis Winston (shoulder) says he’s “ready” for Sunday.

The third-year quarterback hasn’t missed a game in college or the NFL and said earlier in the week that he doesn’t plan on missing one either, so this is just further confirmation. Winston might not even throw until Sunday, and it’s more of a pain tolerance injury, but he’ll be out there against Buffalo as long as the Buccaneers don’t hold him out against his will. Maybe Winston will still light it up with his bad shoulder, but the Bills D/ST looks like a great target heading into Week 7—and Bills head coach Sean McDermott, who was the defensive coordinator with the Panthers and faced Winston twice a year, has had a lot of success in their first four matchups.

Willie Snead doesn’t catch a pass in Week 8.

This was Snead’s second game of the season, which comes after he missed last week after his season debut in Week 6. Snead was not targeted in the game, and it didn’t seem like he was on the field much, either. Maybe it was because he hasn’t played much this season and needs to work himself in, but this is a concern. If you were holding on to Snead, you don’t need to keep him on your fantasy roster.
