Duke Johnson Jr. | Free Agent RB

Duke Johnson handles 13 touches in Week 7 loss.

Johnson rushed seven times for 26 yards and caught six passes for 45 yards. We don’t want to be overly critical of an NFL coach’s decision-making, but the Browns might have been able to pick up their first win of the season if Johnson received more touches. For whatever reason, Hue Jackson remains committed to Isaiah Crowell, making Johnson nothing more than a PPR FLEX option in Week 8 against Minnesota.

Albert Wilson | Free Agent WR

Albert Wilson (knee) did not practice today.

It doesn’t look like Wilson will be ready to go on Thursday against the Raiders, but we’ll let you know of his practice status and official game status tomorrow.

10/17/17 - 08:11 PM ET

Brandon LaFell | Free Agent WR

Brandon Lafell catches four passes in Week 8.

Lafell was targeted five times against the Colts, gaining 44 yards on his four receptions. The offense of the Bengals isn’t good enough that Lafell is a reliable fantasy option, though he’s a good player and good contributor for his team. He’ll have some good games, but next week against the Jags is not the week to insert him into your lineup.

10/30/17 - 10:36 AM ET

Melvin Gordon III | Free Agent RB

Multiple reports: Melvin Gordon (shoulder) will be active for Week 7.

Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn said as much during the week, and there was never really much doubt at all about Gordon’s status. Still, this verifies the Chargers workhorse is safe to insert into lineups as an RB1 today against the Broncos. Gordon caught a touchdown against Denver in their Week 1 matchup, and he’s getting too much work to not be considered a top-ten option.

10/22/17 - 09:20 AM ET

Jermaine Kearse | Lions WR

Jermaine Kearse held in check in Week 8 loss.

Kearse caught two passes for 14 yards against the Falcons. The former Seahawk is on pace for a 58/684/8 line at the season’s midway point, which would be a career-high in catches and yards, but one yard short of his 685 yards in 2015. So far, we’d say he’s exceeding expectations with New York, but he’s still just a weak FLEX option in most fantasy leagues. The Jets host the Bills on Thursday night.

10/30/17 - 10:53 AM ET

Coby Fleener | Free Agent TE

Coby Fleener caught two passes for 22 yards in Sunday’s win.

Fleener has now been held out of the end zone for four-straight games since scoring in Week 1 and Week 2. He’s also been held to 22 yards or less in each of those games, as Brandon Coleman is getting some of the looks that Fleener fantasy owners might want him to get. He’s not a reliable option against Chicago in Week 8.

10/23/17 - 01:14 PM ET

Brandon Coleman | Free Agent WR

Brandon Coleman finds the end zone in Week 7 win.

Coleman caught two passes for 31 yards, including a 22-yard touchdown in the third quarter. He was also targeted in the first half on a would-be touchdown, but Drew Brees didn’t put enough on the throw and it was intercepted. Coleman a nice contributor for New Orleans, but he isn’t a reliable fantasy option, especially if Willie Snead returns next week against Chicago.
