DeAndre Hopkins | Ravens WR

DeAndre Hopkins caught two passes for 19 yards and a touchdown in Sunday’s win against the Browns.

Hopkins was held in check for most of the game until a three-yard score in the third quarter saved his fantasy day. Even with Will Fuller returning and scoring five times in the past three games, Hopkins has been able to score at the same rate. He faces a tough test against the Seahawks in Week 7, but most fantasy owners probably don’t have a suitable replacement to consider benching the star receiver.

Josh Gordon | Free Agent WR

Josh Gordon opens up about his drug issues.

Gordon took a three-day break from rehab and talked to Uninterrupted, admitting that he had major drug problems with alcohol, marijuana, Xanax, codeine, and cocaine. He said his first trip to rehab before the 2013 season was a “publicity stunt” to get the media and fans off his back, but not fix any of his issues. Gordon is around day 70 in rehab now, and he said he plans on staying for 110 days—so he has over a month to go. Currently suspended by the NFL, Gordon needs to be reinstated by Commissioner Roger Goodell, who he called a good guy and a “mentor” to him. The 2013 All Pro does seem genuine with this, but it’s difficult to trust someone that hasn’t been trustworthy since college. It’ll be up to Goodell and the NFL to decide if they want to give Gordon another chance. He hadn’t trained while in rehab and he didn’t look to be in his normal great shape, but he has elite talent and would offer a ton of upside for teams. The Browns would have the opportunity to keep him on their roster if they want.

Vernon Davis | Retired TE

Vernon Davis catches three passes against the 49ers.

Davis gained 65 yards on his three receptions, including a long of 51 yards. The veteran tight end also had a fumble that was reviewed, but it was somehow not overturned despite his elbow clearly appearing to be down before the ball started to come out. Davis will be one of the best TE2 options against the Eagles next week, as he continues to outperform starter Jordan Reed.

Markus Wheaton | Free Agent WR

Markus Wheaton catches first pass as a Bear in Week 5.

The former Steeler was targeted four times against the Vikings, catching one pass for nine yards. He did also have a nice catch down the sideline where he came back for the ball, but he was barely out of bounds and couldn’t get his second foot down. The Vikings were a difficult matchup, but Wheaton will look to get deep and become a reliable downfield target for rookie Mitchell Trubisky moving forward.

10/10/17 - 09:04 AM ET

Duke Johnson Jr. | Free Agent RB

Duke Johnson sees just eight touches in blowout loss,

Johnson rushed five times for 40 yards and caught three passes for negative-one yard. The biggest takeaway is that Johnson looked a lot better than Isaiah Crowell (again), but the Browns are hesitant to commit to the former third-round pick for whatever reason. He should be better as a receiver next week against Tennessee, but Johnson is difficult to trust in fantasy lineups. He’s just a decent FLEX option until he gets more carries, which may never happen.

10/16/17 - 11:37 AM ET

Dion Sims | Free Agent TE

Dion Sims catches one pass in Week 5.

Sims gained 17 yards on his lone reception, and he was also targeted another three times by rookie quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. Combined with Zach Miller getting seven targets, the tight ends worked as a position Trubisky felt comfortable throwing to. Still, Sims isn’t a reliable fantasy option at the moment.

10/10/17 - 09:01 AM ET

Mack Brown | Raiders RB

Mack Brown gets three touches in Week 6.

Brown carried twice for two yards and had an 11-yard reception on his lone target in the game. He has ability, but Brown is behind Chris Thompson and Samaje Perine even when Rob Kelley is out. Brown doesn’t need to be on fantasy rosters.
