Join now >Kenny Golladay (hip) is out for Week 17.
Golladay—who was never placed on IR for Detroit despite being out since early November—will finish his 2020 campaign with 20 receptions, 338 yards, and two touchdowns in just five games. When on the field, Golladay remained a force with a couple of 100-yard games, but it will be interesting to see what the missed time does to his value heading into free agency. The Lions could also end up placing the franchise tag on him if that’s something the new regime wants to do. Chris Godwin, Allen Robinson, and Nelson Agholor are also set to hit the open market in a strong year for wideouts.

Harrison Bryant has tested positive for COVID-19, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Bryant was already on the reserve/COVID-19 list as a high-risk close contact, and he will now miss Week 17 after testing positive. The rookie campaign for Cleveland’s fourth-round pick ends with 24 receptions, 238 yards, and three touchdowns, but the Browns are obviously hoping this isn’t the last we see of him if they can get into the playoffs. With David Njoku likely playing elsewhere in 2021, Bryant will be a candidate for a Year 2 leap alongside Austin Hooper.

The Patriots waived Jordan Thomas.
The Patriots claimed Thomas from the Cardinals earlier this season, but they are going in another direction for now.

The Bills signed Gary Jennings to the practice squad.
The second-year receiver has struggled to stick around with a team, but he will now look to develop in Buffalo and work his way onto the active roster. Jennings is not a must-hold in dynasty leagues.

Christian McCaffrey (quad, shoulder) is out for Week 17.
McCaffrey’s year ends with just three games played. The consensus top pick in 2020 fantasy drafts had 59 carries for 225 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns along with 17 receptions for 149 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown. CMC was still a machine when he was on the field, and the good news is he should be fresh for next season. Expect him to be in the mix for the top pick in fantasy drafts next summer.
12/30/20 - 02:37 PM ET
Patrick Mahomes will not play in Week 17.
The Chiefs have the No. 1 seed in the AFC locked up, but this is still a bit of a surprise considering there may be a bit of rust when Mahomes returns for the Divisional Round. Mahomes’ regular season ends with 4,740 passing yards, 38 passing touchdowns, and six interceptions. He also added 62 carries for 308 rushing yards (career high) and two rushing touchdowns.

La’Mical Perine has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Perine tested positive, becoming the first player for the Jets—who have done an outstanding job with the virus—to test positive for COVID this season. This ends the rookie running back’s first NFL season after ten games. Perine dealt with injuries and didn’t put up eye-popping stats, but the third-round pick showed promise. His year ends with 64 carries for 232 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns along with 11 receptions for 63 yards.
