The undrafted rookie from Northwestern had three receptions (on three targets) for 48 yards and a touchdown versus the Giants. Carr had 14 receptions for 153 yards and two touchdowns this season, and he hopes to make it in a crowded receiver group for New England. If he doesn’t make the final roster, Carr will be a definite practice squad candidate for the Pats.

Michael Campanaro caught one pass for 18 yards in the Ravens’ preseason finale.
Campanaro could open the season as the third receiver for Baltimore depending on the health of Breshad Perriman, but it probably wouldn’t lead to much fantasy success.

Ryan Mallett was 3/8 for 19 yards and one touchdown in the Ravens’ preseason finale.
Despite the score, Mallett’s struggles this preseason continued. The Ravens are hoping this will be the last they see of him this year with Joe Flacco (back) expected to be ready for the regular season opener.

Jacoby Brissett scores five total touchdowns in Patriots’ final preseason game.
The second-year quarterback played the entire exhibition against the Giants and went 28/39 for 341 yards, four touchdowns, one interceptions, and added four carries for 29 yards and a touchdown on the ground. There were some rumors Brissett won’t make the Patriots roster, but that sounded a little premature and this performance certainly helped if there is some debate within the Pats about whether Brissett should make the team.

Cayleb Jones goes off in preseason finale.
Jones caught nine passes for 127 yards and one touchdown, which was an eight-yard reception in the second quarter. Undrafted out of Arizona in 2016, Jones doesn’t seem likely to make the team, but at least he put out some good tape last night. The 24-year-old could be a practice squad candidate.

Shane Vereen plays in the Giants’ fourth preseason game.
It was a bit of a surprise to be Vereen out there, so perhaps is roster spot with the Giants is not completely locked up. He had four carries for 15 yards and caught all three targets for 28 yards. Vereen is probably safe, but we’ll find out for sure on Saturday. He’ll be a reliable contributor on passing downs if he does make the team.

Treadwell suits up for Vikings’ final preseason game.
He caught one pass for nine yards. Minnesota rested all their starters in this one, suggesting Michael Floyd may be the third receiver behind Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen, despite being suspended to start the season. Treadwell has a chance to keep him out of the lineup if he starts the year strong, though, and we think he has the ability to do that. It’s notable that Minnesota has perhaps the softest schedule in the league for wide receivers.
