LeSean McCoy (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday night.

McCoy is unable to go on a short week, so with Leonard Fournette (ankle) doubtful, the team will rely on third-round pick Ke’Shawn Vaughn to fill in behind Ronald Jones II. There is a definite chance Vaughn plays well enough that McCoy loses snaps when he’s healthy enough to return.

Chris Godwin (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 5.

This was expected, and Godwin will now officially miss his second game in a row. Fantasy owners can hope he will be back with a few extra days to get ready for Week 6, and Godwin will immediately be a high-end WR1 whenever he returns.

Le’Veon Bell (hamstring) has officially been designated to return to practice.

This was the expectation, and it now activates a 21-day window for Bell to be activated to the active roster. The former All-Pro is expected to return for the Jets for this Sunday’s Week 5 matchup against the Cardinals, but he does not need to be officially activated until the weekend.

The Lions signed Tavien Feaster to the practice squad.

The former Clemson and South Carolina product is an intriguing player to keep an eye on in very deep dynasty leagues, but he’s with a franchise that has an extremely crowded running back group that includes former second-round picks D’Andre Swift and Kerryon Johnson.

Joe Flacco is expected to start for the Jets this week.

After Flacco stepped in for a brief period in Week 5 while Sam Darnold got checked out for a shoulder injury, the shoulder issue will now keep Darnold out of the lineup this Sunday versus the Cardinals. Flacco is a former Super Bowl MVP with a steady hand at quarterback, but he’s not a recommended fantasy pickup.

Sam Darnold (shoulder) is not expected to start in Week 5.

Darnold is unable to practice fully while dealing with the right shoulder injury suffered last Thursday night, so it appears the Jets are going with Joe Flacco as the starting quarterback this Sunday against the Cardinals. Darnold has unfortunately had some bad luck staying on the field early in his career, and hopefully this isn’t a lengthy absence for a young quarterback in a key season.

The Jets restored Donte Moncrief to the practice squad.

Moncrief will provide depth for the Jets receiving corps, but he’s not currently on the redraft radar from a fantasy perspective.
