Join now >The Browns have signed Taywan Taylor to the active roster.
Taylor will slide in as depth behind Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry, but it’s unlikely he sees significant playing time, especially after rookie Donovan Peoples-Jones emerged as the No. 3 last week.

The Browns have designated David Njoku (knee) to return.
Austin Hooper and Harrison Bryant have performed well over the past three weeks, but the Browns will be happy to get Njoku back into the mix, and all of them should see snaps in Kevin Stefanski’s offense. While there are enough quality tight ends that Njoku probably won’t be a recommended play in redraft leagues, his talent certainly makes him a name worth considering.

Alex Smith will be the backup quarterback for Washington in Week 5, according to NFL Network.
This is another milestone in a remarkable comeback story for the veteran signal-caller, as he’s obviously healthy enough to take the field and will be suited up behind new starter Kyle Allen on Sunday. Ideally, Washington will have Allen play well enough to keep the starting job, but Smith may end up making starts in 2020 with the NFC East looking wide open. This news means Dwayne Haskins is the No. 3 for Washington and will likely be a healthy inactive.

Washington is starting Kyle Allen at quarterback.
After four games, Dwayne Haskins is being benched for Allen, who has more familiarity with Washington’s offense led by coordinator Scott Turner. Washington feels the subpar NFC East is wide open, and they feel Allen gives them the best opportunity to win games. Allen is not a highly recommended fantasy pickup.

Washington is benching Dwayne Haskins.
Kyle Allen, who has a relationship with Ron Rivera and offensive coordinator Scott Turner from their time together in Carolina, will now start for Washington. In four games, Haskins threw for 939 yards, four touchdowns, and three interceptions. Perhaps Haskins will get back in the starting lineup at some point this season, but for now it looks like the former No. 15 overall pick will not be the long-term answer in Washington.

The Panthers placed Reggie Bonnafon on the practice squad/injured list.
Bonnafon is dealing with a high-ankle sprain, so he’ll miss multiple weeks with this injury. Mike Davis is set to continue getting a very strong workload while Christian McCaffrey (ankle) remains out of the lineup for Carolina.

Josiah Deguara has a torn ACL, according to multiple reports.
This is tough news for the rookie third-round pick, and it’s a hit to the tight end group for Green Bay. The versatile Cincinnati product will now have surgery and rehab, and we wish him luck as he looks to get back on the field in 2021. Deguara’s rookie campaign ends with one reception for 12 yards in two games.
