Chark is expected to play, but fantasy owners will have to check in tomorrow night. With top cornerback Byron Jones (groin) out for Miami, it will be interesting to see if Xavien Howard shadows Chark. Either way, the LSU product is probably more of a WR3 than WR2 this week, as he’s been targeted just seven times in two games.

A.J. Brown (knee) officially did not practice today.
It sounds like Brown will be back either this week or the next, but it’s apparently going to be up to the doctors when they will allow the superstar receiver to return to the field. We’ll continue to track Brown’s practice status through the rest of the week.

Jalen Reagor (thumb) is expected to miss a few weeks.
Reagor suffered a UCL tear in his thumb and finished the game last Sunday, but the rookie receiver is now going to miss time with the injury. Drew Brees, though a quarterback that suffered the injury to his throwing hand, missed five games last season with a UCL tear, so that could be around the timeline for Reagor’s return. The TCU product has upside, but he’s not a must-hold in redraft leagues if you need roster space. Reagor will be placed on injured reserve and will miss a minimum of three games.

Julio Jones worsened his hamstring strain in Week 2.
Jones will likely be limited in practice this week, but it would be a surprise if he doesn’t continue playing through this hamstring issue. While he’s at less than 100%, Julio is simply too good to leave out of fantasy lineups.
9/23/20 - 12:46 PM ET
Tevin Coleman (knee) is expected to miss around four weeks.
Coleman will be placed on injured reserve, which will keep him out for a minimum of three weeks, soon. The dynamic running back could provide a jolt when he returns, but he’s not a must-hold on fantasy rosters.
9/23/20 - 12:41 PM ET
George Kittle (knee) will practice on a limited basis today.
A practice to start the week is a good sign for Kittle, but keep in mind the Niners are playing this Sunday on the same turf they complained about following multiple leg injuries last week. Kittle would probably do well to be listed as questionable on Friday.
9/23/20 - 12:39 PM ET
Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle) is not expected to practice this week.
49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan says he’d be “surprised” if Jimmy G practices later this week, so it’ll be Nick Mullens taking the first-team reps ahead of this Sunday’s game against the Giants. We’ll let you know if Garoppolo is able to get on the practice field, but that might not be until Friday when the final Week 3 injury report is released.
