The Lions activated T.J. Hockenson from reserve/COVID-19 list.

Hockenson can now re-join his teammates as training camp ramps up. The second-year tight end is looking to make a leap forward and help Matt Patricia’s squad compete for a playoff spot this season.

Joe Flacco on track in recovery from neck surgery.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport says Flacco saw a specialist in Philadelphia yesterday to check on his progress, and that there are “no issues, and he’s on track to miss just one or two games.” A final checkup in early September is coming, and it sounds like he should be able to get full clearance at that time. Flacco will backup Sam Darnold when he gets the OK.

The Jaguars waived Tavien Feaster.

Jacksonville is trimming down the roster to 80 players, and the undrafted rookie Feaster falls victim to the numbers game. The former Clemson and South Carolina running back should find a new landing spot soon, thought he might ultimately land on a practice squad this season.

The Washington Football Team has released running back Derrius Guice.

That was quick not even an hour after the charges came to light in the media, but this was the expectation after Guice was arrested on domestic violence charges and turned himself in. One of the charges is for strangulation, which is a felony, so obviously this is a terrible situation and disgraceful action by Guice. Especially with a new head coach in an organization that’s had some issues, Washington is simply not going to tolerate this type of unacceptable behavior moving forward. Guice might get a second chance at some point (and the fact that he’s a talented player might help, frankly), but he’s looking at an uphill climb to play in 2020 as he attempts to find a new team while facing certain discipline from the NFL. From a football perspective, Washington is fortunate to have a very deep running back group; Adrian Peterson will likely again lead the backfield this season, but they have talented options behind him including Bryce Love and rookie Antonio Gibson.

Derrius Guice arrested on domestic violence charges.

Guice has already turned himself in, so this is a step in the right direction. All we know for sure at the moment is that there are charges, but this obviously does not look good for the third-year running back. More details on the situation should become available sometime tonight or tomorrow, but Guice appears to be on a slippery slope for a Washington Football Team looking to establish a new culture under head coach Ron Rivera.

The Texans placed Kenny Stills on the NFI list.

Stills has an illness, and we expect that he should be fine soon. The veteran receiver might not be a 100% lock for Houston’s roster, so hopefully he can get on the field soon.

The Falcons waived Craig Reynolds.

The 2019 undrafted running back was in a tough spot in Atlanta, especially in a COVID-impacted summer. Reynolds is off the fantasy radar at the moment.
