Join now >The Saints released Tommylee Lewis.
Lewis can contribute on both offense and special teams, and he’ll look to land with another squad ahead of the 2020 season. Lewis is probably victim to rosters being trimmed due to COVID-19 containment concerns.

Mohamed Sanu (ankle) has been placed on the PUP list.
Sanu posted some workout video this summer and has looked healthy, so this is a bit of a surprise. New England is taking things slow with the veteran receiver during camp after sending Atlanta a second-round pick for him last season.

The Patriots have placed Sony Michel (foot) on the PUP list.
Michel is coming off offseason foot surgery, and he isn’t quite ready for the start of camp. The running back situation for New England is very interesting after 2019 third-round pick Damien Harris was essentially redshirted last year, and we’ll see how quickly the former first-rounder Michel is able to get back into the mix.

Michael Walker has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
He joins Gardner Minshew II and Ryquell Armstead as offensive players on the list for Jacksonville. Walker will try to make the team this month as depth at receiver.

The Jaguars have placed Ryquell Armstead on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Armstead is hoping to earn a change-of-pace role behind Leonard Fournette this season, but the signing of Chris Thompson will limit his standalone value. Gardner Minshew II is also on the reserve/COVID-19 list for Jacksonville.

Gardner Minshew II has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Minshew II is the second starting quarterback to be placed on the list after Matthew Stafford was for the Lions. Players will reportedly have to decide whether they will opt out of the 2020 season by Wednesday.

Geronimo Allison is opting out of the 2020 season.
The start of Allison’s Lions career will have to wait, as he’s the latest player to opt out in what’s been a flurry of them in recent days. The former Packer receiver’s contract with Detroit will toll over into next year, and he could ultimately have a decent shot to carve out a role as a top-three receiver for the Lions.
