Join now >Josh Gordon (knee) did not return to tonight’s game.
Gordon was questionable to return, but he was never able to get back on the field after badly twisting his knee while attempting to stop a fumble recovery for a touchdown by the Giants. The good news is Gordon appears to have avoided a serious injury that’ll keep him out for an extended period of time, but he’ll have ten days to get ready for a Week 7 matchup against the Jets. Before leaving tonight’s game, Gordon had one reception for seven yards.

Travis Benjamin (hip) is officially active for Week 5.
Benjamin is good to go after missing one game with his hip injury suffered in Week 3. Benjamin has big-play upside, but he’s not a highly recommended fantasy option against the Broncos.

The 49ers are signing Deontay Burnett to the practice squad.
The former Jets receiver and a favorite of Sam Darnold’s at USC will look to work his way up to the active roster in San Francisco. Burnett is not on the fantasy radar at the moment.

Sam Darnold has been cleared to play, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
After missing the last three games while dealing with mono, Darnold is ready to go for the Jets. The hope was that Darnold was going to be ready to play last week at Philadelphia, but his spleen was still enlarged and he did not gain medical clearance. The second-year quarterback will be under center this Saturday against the Cowboys, and his presence is a big boost for the 0-4 Jets. Darnold is not a highly recommended QB1 pickup quite yet, but Le’Veon Bell, Jamison Crowder, and company get a boost with the return of their starting quarterback. The Jets also get tight end Chris Herndon back from his four-game suspension this week, so Adam Gase’s offense could look a lot different moving forward.

Evan Engram (knee) was officially a full participant in today’s practice.
Despite reportedly dealing with an MCL sprain, Engram is set to return for the Giants after missing just one game on a short week last Thursday. We’ll let you know if anything changes, but you should be able to insert Engram into your Week 7 fantasy lineup as a top-tier TE1. Engram is facing a Cardinals team that’s been by far the worst in the NFL against opposing tight ends this season.

Mike Williams (back) is officially active for Week 5.
This was the expectation after Williams said he would play, and now it’s official. Williams missed one game with back spasms, but he’ll be back in there for a Chargers offense that’s getting closer to full strength with star running back Melvin Gordon also set to make his return to the field.

Marquise Brown (ankle) is officially inactive against the Bengals.
Brown did not practice all week, so this is not a surprise despite him being deemed a game-time decision. The rookie receiver has battled a few injuries this year, but this is his first missed game. Consider Brown 50/50 to face the Seahawks in Week 7.
