Rudolph just made a spectacular throw on third down against the Ravens, but he took a helmet-to-helmet hit from Earl Thomas and appeared to get knocked out immediately. This is a very scary situation. Thankfully, Rudolph is now up on his feet and walking off the field after it looked like he would certainly be carted off the field. Many football fans’ thoughts and prayers should be with Rudolph. Undrafted rookie Devlin Hodges is now in the game for :Pittsburgh. Before leaving, Rudolph was 13/20 for 125 yards and one touchdown.

Todd Gurley (quad) officially did not practice today.
Keep in mind that the Rams held a walkthrough instead of an actual practice, but Gurley watched from the side instead of participating—so today’s non-participation is a projection, which probably isn’t a good sign for Gurley’s status. We’ll see if the star running back is able to get on the practice field tomorrow, but he’s certainly looking questionable for Week 6 against the 49ers. The final injury report with official game statuses will be released tomorrow.

Jaylen Samuels will miss a month after arthroscopic knee surgery.
Samuels’ knee scope is another blow to a Steelers offense that’s dealt with a ton of injuries this season, and it’s especially a big blow after Pittsburgh had been using Samuels in a wildcat type of role to help generate offense without Ben Roethlisberger at quarterback. Samuels can be dropped from any redraft leagues he was being held in, but he could make for an interesting late-season pickup in a few weeks. James Conner is set for a heavy workload as the Steelers look to compete in a subpar AFC North, but rookie Benny Snell is likely to get more work during Samuels’ absence.

The Redskins signed Josh Ferguson to the practice squad.
Ferguson previously worked out for Washington, and now he lands on the team’s practice squad. The Redskins have a crowded running back room already, and Ferguson is not on the fantasy radar at the moment.

Phillip Dorsett (hamstring) has been downgraded to out.
Dorsett was injured at the beginning of the game for the Patriots, and he had no receptions before leaving. This is unfortunate for a guy that’s worked his way into having extreme trust from quarterback Tom Brady, but hopefully Dorsett doesn’t miss much more time with the injury. Considering the Patriots have a short week and play this Thursday night to kickoff Week 6, Dorsett is likely to miss at least one game.
10/6/19 - 02:57 PM ET
Alvin Kamara (ankle) is officially active for Week 6.
Kamara apparently injured his ankle in Thursday’s practice and then missed Friday’s practice, but he’ll give it a go today against the Jaguars. There’s a chance Kamara is limited more than usual, which could lead to more work for Latavius Murray, but he needs to be kept in fantasy lineups as usual.
10/13/19 - 11:31 AM ET
Wayne Gallman (concussion) officially did not practice today.
Gallman is in concussion protocol and is unlikely to play on Thursday night. We’ll update you if the Clemson product is able to progress through the protocol tomorrow or Wednesday.
