Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said yesterday they’ll see how Watkins is these next couple of days, and this is a good start in what’s likely the most important practice day of the week for a Thursday game. Watkins is looking like he’ll get a questionable tag when the final Week 7 injury report is released tomorrow.

Saquon Barkley (ankle) was officially limited in today’s practice.
The Giants called today’s practice a “jog-through” and their star running back was again listed as limited. However, Barkley is reportedly unlikely to play despite making great progress from the high-ankle sprain, which makes sense considering the Giants want to (and should) be smart about the long-term health of their generational talent. Don’t be surprised if Barkley makes a push to play, but it’s possible he’s ruled out tomorrow when the final Week 5 injury report is released.

Sammy Watkins (hamstring) has been ruled out for tomorrow night.
Watkins remained listed as a limited participant in today’s practice, but the Chiefs must not feel good about where he’s at to rule him out already. There was optimism that Watkins would be able to play after missing just one game with his hamstring injury suffered at the start of Week 5, but we now look ahead to a Week 8 Sunday night matchup against the Packers for Watkins’ potential return.
10/16/19 - 02:10 PM ET
Michael Gallup (knee) is officially active for the Cowboys.
Gallup made a nice recovery from his knee scope, and he’s back in the lineup for Dallas after missing just two games. The second-year receiver is in the FLEX mix for a potential shootout against the Packers.
10/6/19 - 03:09 PM ET
Jakeem Grant (hamstring) is officially inactive for Week 6.
The Dolphins are playing things safe with Grant, as the team is not going to rush players back in a season many are calling a “tanking” year. Grant can remain on the waiver wire in fantasy leagues.
10/13/19 - 11:33 AM ET
T.J. Hockenson (concussion) is officially listed as questionable for Monday night.
Hockenson was a full participant in practice this week, but he’s not fully cleared from his concussion suffered in Week 4. We’d think Hockenson will be able to get cleared by Monday night, but be sure to have a backup plan in mind if he’s inactive against the Packers.

Andy Janovich has signed a three-year extension with the Broncos, according to multiple reports.
Janovich, a sixth-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, has been one of the best fullbacks in football since entering the league, so it’s good to see him get locked up by Denver. The 26-year-old will continue leading the way for Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman on a team that’s looking to turn things around.
