Join now >Kenny Stills (hamstring) is officially inactive for the Texans.
Stills remains out for the hamstring injury suffered a couple of weeks ago, but he should be getting close to a return. We’ll see if he can get on the field for a divisional matchup with the Colts next week. DeAndre Hopkins, Will Fuller, and Keke Coutee will work as the top three receivers for Deshaun Watson in a potential shootout today against the Chiefs.

Saquon Barkley (ankle) was officially listed as limited in today’s practice.
The Giants had a walkthrough today, but they’re calling Barkley limited had they held an actual practice. This is a good sign for the star running back’s status for Thursday, but we’ll see how he’s listed tomorrow in what could be more of an actual practice. There’s definite optimism about Barkley being able to go against the Patriots.

Josh Gordon suffers apparent leg injury against the Giants.
On a sack-fumble that went for a touchdown, Gordon was chasing down Markus Golden and had his left leg twisted up pretty badly while attempting to make a tackle. Gordon was on the ground for a couple of minutes before getting up and limping over to the sideline with trainers. It didn’t look good for both Gordon’s knee and ankle, but hopefully it’s not as bad as it looks and he can get back out on the field soon. That said, him returning to tonight’s game might be a stretch.

Josh Jacobs (elbow) is questionable to return against against the Bears.
Jacobs is having a nice game against a stingy Bears defense, so hopefully he’s able to return to the field soon. DeAndre Washington, who already scored once today after Jacobs left the game, and Jalen Richard will get more work while Jacobs is out.

N’Keal Harry is back at practice for the Patriots.
The Patriots don’t have an official practice where they need to report activity level until Thursday this week (because they play on Monday night), but Harry is working out with the team today. The first-round rookie receiver can practice for three weeks before he needs to be activated as a designated-to-return player off of injured reserve ahead of Week 9 (if he is not activated, he will spend the entire season on IR). Harry is an interesting player to watch moving forward, but he’s not someone that needs to be immediately picked up in standard-sized redraft leagues.

Tevin Coleman nears 100 yards in Week 5.
In Coleman’s return to the field after missing the last two games following his high-ankle sprain suffered in Week 1, Coleman carried 16 times for 97 yards and a touchdown in the 49ers’ rout of the Browns. Matt Breida started the game and broke an 83-yard touchdown on the first offensive play for San Francisco, but it was an event backfield split with Breida carrying 11 times for 114 yards and a touchdown along with three receptions for 15 yards and a touchdown. Coleman appears to be the 1A in the backfield, and the Niners are doing an excellent job of opening running lanes this season. Both guys have great weekly upside because of their dynamic ability, but Coleman is likely the safer option and is arguably a must-start as the lead runner in one of the league’s best rushing attacks.

Ryan Fitzpatrick has been named the Dolphins starting quarterback.
The veteran replaced Josh Rosen in the second half of Sunday’s loss to the Redskins and nearly engineered a comeback victory, so this is a sign that head coach Brian Flores is legitimately trying to win with arguably the worst roster in the league. Fitz will be in a difficult spot on the road against the Bills this week, but it’s a definite upgrade to those in deeper leagues planning to roll with a skill-position player. For Rosen, the move is obviously not an encouraging look in terms of his future, as his grasp on the starting job didn’t even last a full game.
