DeSean Jackson | Retired WR

The Buccaneers have apparently released DeSean Jackson.

Jackson just posted on Instagram: “Tampa it was a great experience, but things didn’t work out !! Looking forward to my next destination .. *eye emojis* Stay Tuned”. However, there’s been no word from Tampa Bay yet, so Jackson might just be taking matters into his own hands if he doesn’t want to stay with the Bucs, which the team might not be happy about. We’ll see if the Buccaneers officially release Jackson or if this might drag on for a bit. It’s been speculated that Jackson wants to return to Philadelphia to play for the Eagles, but that might just be wishful thinking by him.

Albert Wilson | Free Agent WR

New Dolphins wide receivers coach is “really excited” about Albert Wilson.

Wide receivers coach Karl Dorrell, who is back with the Dolphins for a second stint, said of Wilson: “He was pretty dynamic (in 2018) wasn’t he? He’s a very unique player. I’m really excited about him.” Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald went as far as saying you can “pencil Wilson in as a Week 1 starter” assuming he has no setbacks from his season-ending hip injury suffered last year. Beasley adds that former first-rounder DeVante Parker is “all but gone,” and that Danny Amendola and Kenny Stills are uncertain to be back with the team in 2019. We’re not sure Wilson is already a lock for a starting role in 2019 considering it’s February and a new head coach will want players to earn their roles, but the former Chief was obviously extremely explosive when he was on the field last season. Wilson should probably be owned in all dynasty leagues right now.

Jermaine Gresham | Free Agent TE

The Cardinals are releasing tight end Jermaine Gresham, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

For salary cap purposes, the move will happen on Thursday after the start of the new league year on Wednesday, according to Schefter. It’s possible another team makes a trade offer to Arizona to avoid Gresham hitting the open market, but it’s unlikely. The veteran tight end spent the last four seasons with the Cardinals, and he should draw interest around the league when he’s officially released on Thursday.

Artavis Scott | Colts WR

The Chargers re-signed Artavis Scott to a one-year contract, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.

Scott curiously went undrafted in 2017, but he showed major flashes last preseason for the Chargers before he was placed on injured reserve before the season because of an ankle injury. The former Clemson receiver plays bigger than his five-foot-ten frame, and he shouldn’t be counted out as the Chargers’ No. 3 receiver this season if Tyrell Williams leaves in free agency. For fantasy purposes, Scott is someone to monitor, particularly in dynasty leagues.

Emmanuel Sanders | Free Agent WR

The Broncos have officially picked up Emmanuel Sanders’ option.

This move was expected despite the veteran currently recovering from a torn Achilles, so Denver will head into 2019 with Sanders, Courtland Sutton, and DaeSean Hamilton as their starting trio for Joe Flacco. While it’s a slight surprise that the Broncos didn’t want to simply move on with the younger guys, this should be a boost for Flacco if Sanders is able to get cleared by the opener.

Andre Ellington | Free Agent RB

The Buccaneers have signed Andre Ellington.

This move is not at all surprising, as Ellington was a Bruce Arians’ favorite in Arizona, totaling over 3,000 yards in five years. Now 30, Ellington will look to make the roster and carve out a role for what looks like a wide-open depth chart in Tampa Bay. He’s not currently on the fantasy radar, but PPR owners in particular should keep tabs on Ellington throughout the offseason and into the summer.

2/19/19 - 04:01 PM ET

Danny Amendola | Retired WR

Danny Amendola is signing with the Lions, according to ESPN’s Dianna Russini.

Lions GM Bob Quinn and head coach Matt Patricia are familiar with Amendola from their time in New England together, and this is a perfect fit for the offense. The veteran slot receiver can slide right into the starting lineup along with Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones Jr., as Detroit shores up their receiving corps before the free-agent frenzy begins with the negotiating window opening up in just over four hours. Amendola will likely be a better real-life contributor than fantasy asset, but perhaps he and Matthew Stafford will form a nice rapport that leads to solid value in PPR leagues in particular.
