Christian Kirk | Texans WR

Christian Kirk (foot) expects to be “fully healthy” by the end of February.

Kirk said on the Arizona’s Cardinals Flight Plan series, that he should be healthy by the end of the mont and that “doctors say everything is going good.” The second-year receiver went on to say that “the goal is for me to be 100 percent when I step on the field in August,” so it sounds like training camp is the goal. However, if he’ll be at full strength this month, we’d think he’ll at least get some work in during offseason training as he looks to get reps in new head coach Lincoln Riley’s offense. Kirk’s Week 1 status isn’t in doubt, and he’s obviously a big breakout candidate as a talented player in an intriguing offense.

Raheem Mostert | Raiders RB

Raheem Mostert has accepted a restricted tender from the Niners, according to his agent Brett Tessler.

Tessler says a multi-year deal was being discussed with the Niners, but they have decided to take the one-year tender of just over $2 million and “look forward to a great 2019.” Mostert played really well when he was on the field for San Francisco last season, averaging an eye-popping 7.7 yards per carry on 34 attempts before his season ended with an ugly forearm injury. Other teams can still sign Mostert, though, and they wouldn’t owe the Niners any compensation at this low tender. If the dynamic runner remains in San Fran, he’ll look to carve out a nice change-of-pace role along with Jerick McKinnon and Matt Breida in Kyle Shanahan’s backfield.

Antonio Brown | Free Agent WR

Antonio Brown declares his time with the Steelers is over after nine years.

Brown took to Twitter, saying, “Thank you SteelerNation for a big 9 years” along with the hashtag “#NewDemands”, which suggests he has formally requested a trade. It had seemed like the door might have been opening up for a potential return over the past couple weeks, but this appears to put an end to that. However, the Steelers have all the control here, and they probably won’t be happy about a public demand to be traded if that’s how the tweet should be interpreted. The most likely scenario is AB being traded soon—San Francisco and Oakland are the top landing spots that come immediately to mind—so both sides can end the drama, but it also wouldn’t be surprising to see Pittsburgh keep him on the team somewhat out of spite if they don’t get worthy offers.

Case Keenum | Bears QB

The Broncos have agreed to trade Case Keenum to the Redskins, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

This is now set to happen when the new league year officially begins next Wednesday at 4:00 PM ET. Washington is getting Keenum and a 2020 seventh-round pick and Denver is getting a 2020 sixth-round pick, so this is a low-cost trade for the Redskins. Meanwhile, the Broncos are giving Keenum an opportunity to battle for a starting job, which wasn’t going to happen in Denver with Joe Flacco now with the team. The starting quarterback for the Redskins in 2019 looks like it’ll come down to a competition between Keenum and Colt McCoy.

Pierre Garcon | Free Agent WR

The Niners will not pick up Pierre Garcon’s option, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

The veteran receiver has struggled to stay healthy the last couple of seasons, so this isn’t a surprise. Garcon would’ve had a $6 million cap hit if he remained in San Francisco, so this frees some money as the team looks to get younger at the position. As a very tough, all-around receiver, the 32-year-old Garcon should draw solid interest as a free agent.

Brad Kaaya | Bengals QB

The Bengals claimed quarterback Brad Kaaya.

Kaaya was put on waivers by the Colts, and he lands in a good spot with new head coach Zac Taylor, as he might get a legitimate shot to carve out a role in Cincinnati’s quarterback depth chart. The former Miami quarterback doesn’t need to be owned in dynasty leagues right now, but he’s someone to keep an eye on in real life.

Case Keenum | Bears QB

The Redskins and Broncos are working out a trade for Case Keenum, according to Ian Rapoport.

Despite stating they are confident in Colt McCoy with Alex Smith (leg) unlikely to play in 2019, Washington was thought to be targeting a quarterback via free agency, trade, or the draft, so it sounds like they may have found their guy in Keenum. Things didn’t go as planned in Denver, but Keenum is a very capable quarterback that can keep the Redskins competitive if this gets done and he beats out McCoy for the starting job. People were probably too quick to forget that Keenum led the Vikings to the NFC Championship Game just two seasons ago. Any potential deal will not be official until the new league year begins next week.
