Matt LaCosse | Free Agent TE

Matt LaCosse catches five passes in Broncos’ loss.

LaCosse gained 33 yards on his five receptions in the Week 17 loss to the Chargers. LaCosse’s season ends with 24 receptions for 250 yards and one touchdown, and he’s not a highly-recommended fantasy option for 2019 at the moment.

John Phillips | Cardinals TE

John Phillips catches two passes in Week 17.

Phillips gained 28 yards on his two reception versus Seattle. On the season, the veteran tight end caught three passes for 38 yards. He’s more of a real-life contributor than fantasy asset heading into 2019.

River Cracraft | Seahawks WR

River Cracraft catches one pass in Broncos’ loss.

Cracraft made a nice 44-yard catch on a deep ball, marking the first reception of the undrafted second year receiver’s career. Cracraft will look to carve out a role with the Broncos in 2019, but he’s not on the fantasy radar at the moment.

Larry Fitzgerald | Cardinals WR

Larry Fitzgerald scores in Week 17.

Fitzgerald caught four passes for 36 yards and a touchdown in the Cardinals’ loss to the Seahawks, with the score coming on a beautiful one-handed catch he made look easy. In the game, Fitz hit 1,300 career receptions, joining Jerry Rice and Tony Gonzalez as the only players in NFL history to accomplish the feat (and the quickest, at 234 games). The future Hall of Famer’s 2018 campaign—potentially his last ever—ends with 69 receptions for 734 yards and six touchdowns. The yardage was a career-low for Fitzgerald, who had to play with a rookie quarterback (Josh Rosen) that didn’t play very well in his first NFL season. Coming into the year, it looked like the Cardinals might be one of the league’s better teams with a very capable and accurate veteran quarterback in Sam Bradford, but Bradford was quickly benched for Rosen and the Cardinals ended up as the worst team in the league. Fitzgerald can still get it done at 35 years old (36 next season), but his decision on whether he’ll return will likely come down to how he feels about the new coaching staff and offense. It might not help that Rosen was more inaccurate than expected during the year, and that the rookie quarterback once getting visibly frustrated with the veteran receiver might not bode well for Fitz wanting to return. As always, the Cardinals should and will give him plenty of time to make a decision on his own time.

Derek Carr | Retired QB

Derek Carr tosses two interceptions as Raiders lose to the Chiefs, 35-3.

Carr was 24/33 for 185 yards, zero touchdowns, and two interceptions, which were his first since Week 5. It was certainly a disappointing finale to end a trying season in Oakland, but Carr finishes with career-highs in completion percentage (68.9%) and yards (4,049), throwing for 19 touchdowns and ten interception. It’s impossible to predict how Jon Gruden and the franchise truly views Carr, but it would be a surprise if he wasn’t back in 2019, especially considering he now has a year of experience in the system. Priorities for the Raiders this offseason should be rebuilding the offensive line and adding a top-level receiver.

12/31/18 - 01:25 PM ET

Tim Patrick | Lions WR

Tim Patrick catches four passes against the Chargers.

Patrick gained 48 yards on his four receptions and lost a fumble in the Broncos’ Week 17 loss. Patrick’s season ends with 23 receptions for 315 yards and one touchdown along with three carries for 17 yards. If Emmanuel Sanders isn’t ready for the start of next season or isn’t back in Denver, Patrick could be a starter with Courtland Sutton and DaeSean Hamilton.

12/31/18 - 01:05 PM ET

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts caught five passes for 31 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Chiefs.

He also rushed once for a loss of four yards. Roberts ends his age-27 season with 45 receptions for 494 yards and two touchdowns. He is under contract for 2019, but Oakland can move on from him with zero impact on the cap.
