Royce Freeman gets 25 touches against the Chargers.

Freeman carried 17 times for 60 yards and caught eight passes for 43 yards in the Broncos’ Week 17 loss. It was nice to see the former Oregon workhorse get a heavy workload to close out the season, and the rookie running back’s first regular season ends with 130 carries for 521 yards and five touchdowns along with 14 receptions for 72 yards. The third-round pick played well, but he was overshadowed by an excellent year from undrafted rookie Phillip Lindsay. Don’t be surprised if Freeman works his way into the starter by the beginning of next season, but Lindsay is the obvious favorite right now. It’ll be interesting to see the new coaching staff and head coach of the Broncos, and the new regime could quickly indicate how they plan on using their running backs in 2019.

Tyrell Williams catches two passes in Week 17.

Williams gained 23 yards on his two receptions versus Denver. Williams’ regular season ends with 41 receptions for 653 yards and five touchdowns along with two carries for 15 yards. The Chargers will look for Williams to make big plays down the field as well as keep drives alive in the postseason.

Allen Lazard catches one pass in NFL debut.

Lazard gained seven yards on his lone reception against the Lions. The undrafted rookie from Iowa State stands at six-foot-five and has upside at that size, but he’s just someone to keep in mind at this point and is not a must-own in dynasty leagues.

Doug Martin goes for 100 yards in season finale.

Martin rushed 21 times for 100 yards, also adding a one-yard reception and losing a fumble. The veteran was fed down the stretch in Jon Gruden’s offense, finishing his bounce-back season with 172 carries for 723 yards (4.2 YPC) and four touchdowns while adding 18 receptions for 116 yards as a receiver. Martin turns 30 in a couple weeks, but Oakland might have liked what they have seen enough to bring him back.

Robby Anderson held in check as New York falls to New England, 38-3.

Anderson caught three-of-eight targets for 24 yards. The Temple product had a slow start to the year, but he finishes with a 50/752/6 receiving line and averaged a career-high 15.0 yards per reception. Anderson will enter 2019 as a starter alongside Quincy Enunwa, and it will be interesting to see if the Jets are able to get a top-end WR1 via the draft, trade, or free agency. If not, Anderson will be a quality pick in the middle rounds of fantasy drafts next summer.

Ty Montgomery handles three touches in Week 17 win.

Montgomery rushed twice for 13 yards and added a nine-yard reception. The 25-year-old ended up appearing in 13 games between Green Bay and Baltimore this season, rushing 41 times for 188 yards (4.6 YPC) and one touchdown, also adding 25 receptions for 235 yards. Montgomery will hope to make an impact in the postseason, but the Ravens will mostly rely on Gus Edwards and Kenneth Dixon next month.

Teddy Bridgewater, Saints lose to the Panthers, 33-14.

Bridgewater was 14/22 for 118 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, also adding four carries for 12 yards. Teddy drew the start and saw all the snaps at quarterback since New Orleans had the No. 1 seed locked up, but even with Michael Thomas in the lineup, the offense struggled. Bridgewater remains probably the best backup in the league as the Saints will look to make a Super Bowl run.
