Join now >Mike Gesicki catches one pass in Week 17 loss.
It went for 18 yards. Gesicki’s rookie campaign ends with 22 receptions for 202 yards (9.2 YPC) and zero touchdowns, but his upside makes him one of the top buy-low options in dynasty leagues. The No. 42 pick of the 2018 NFL Draft should enter 2019 as a starter and will hopefully be trusted more in the red zone. Gesicki should be a quality late-round tight end to target next summer.

Marcus Mariota (neck) was officially a limited participant in today’s practice.
Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said Mariota was out there but didn’t take his normal reps, so this was expected. Still, it’s great to see Mariota was out there throwing the ball around a bit, and this leads to some definite optimism about his up-in-the-air Week 17 status. Mariota was said to not need any practice time to play on Sunday night, so even a limited practice today is a big positive. He’s likely headed for a questionable tag when the final injury report is released ahead of the weekend.

Jawill Davis (knee) has been placed on injured reserve.
Davis suffered a knee injury today, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The undrafted rookie’s season ends with four receptions for 40 yards. He also did a good job on special teams, including as a returner, so he’ll look to build on his role heading into 2019.

Quincy Enunwa (ankle) has been ruled out for the Jets’ season finale.
Enunwa wasn’t likely to get back in time for Week 17, so he’ll officially miss his final three games to end the season. Enunwa’s 2018 campaign ends with 38 receptions for 449 yards and one touchdown in 11 games. He started the season hot with at least four receptions and 57 yards in each of the first four games, but injuries pretty much derailed things. Still, it was good to see Enunwa get back on the field after his 2017 season was wiped out by a neck injury, and the former sixth-round pick will be just 27 this offseason. Enunwa will be a free agent this offseason, but the Jets will probably look into bringing him back.

Leonard Fournette (ankle/foot) is officially inactive for the Jaguars.
Fournette was listed as doubtful coming into today, so this was expected. The second-year running back’s disappointing season ends with 133 carries for 439 yards and five touchdowns along with 22 receptions for 185 yards and one touchdown in eight games. Fournette even admitted he could be in better shape, which isn’t something the Jaguars (or fantasy owners) want to hear—but at least he admitted it, and hopefully he comes into 2019 more focused and motivated. Next summer, Fournette will probably still be in the top-three rounds as a potential bounce-back candidate, but he’s shown he has obvious downside as someone that’s battled injuries and some off-field issues through two years.

DaeSean Hamilton scores in Week 16 loss.
Hamilton caught six passes for 40 yards, including a seven-yard touchdown in the second half. The rookie has now gone for solid lines of 7/47/1, 7/46, and 6/40/1 this month, and he will try to keep it going next week in the season finale against the Chargers. Consider Hamilton a decent FLEX option in all formats.

Teddy Bridgewater will start at quarterback for the Saints in Week 17.
While the Saints are locked into the No. 1 seed in the NFC, this is a slight surprise considering there might be some concern about rust becoming a factor with two straight weeks without a game, but Drew Brees obviously has plenty of experience and should be locked-in come January. We’ve long believed Bridgewater is an excellent quarterback that is a very good starting-caliber player in the league, so it’ll be fun to see him play on Sunday. Taysom Hill might also get some time as more of a traditional quarterback, which will also be fun. Bridgewater is not a highly-recommended fantasy option with titles on the line, be he’ll probably play well for the Saints. This is Bridgewater’s first start since the 2015 season, so this weekend could be an emotional moment after his 2016 season and time as the starter in Minnesota came to an end after a very serious knee injury suffered just before that season.
