Join now >Ezekiel Elliott is inactive for Week 17.
Elliott has racked up 381 touches this season, so the Cowboys are being smart and resting him ahead of their postseason run. Guard Zack Martin is also not playing, but the rest of the starters are likely to get some time but could potentially just leave the game after a series or two if things go well, making Dak Prescott and others relatively difficult to trust in fantasy lineups. Elliott’s regular season ends with 304 carries for 1,434 yards and six touchdowns along with 77 receptions for 567 yards and three touchdowns. Unless Saquon Barkley runs for 236 yards, Elliott will have his third rushing title in his first three NFL seasons. The Ohio State product has been one of the steadiest fantasy-football assets since entering the league, and owners that selected him must have been happy with his production in 2018—unfortunately those with titles on the line in Week 17 must clinch a championship without him, though.

Tim Patrick caught three passes for 44 yards in Monday night’s loss to Oakland.
He also rushed once for a loss of seven yards. Patrick has emerged as the team’s No. 3 receiver down the stretch, but he can stay on the waiver wire for the season finale.

Tevin Coleman (groin) will play in Week 17.
Falcons head coach Dan Quinn said early in the week that the dynamic runner should be good to go, so can be started in fantasy lineups as a high-upside RB2 for the season finale against the Buccaneers. Set to hit unrestricted free agency, Coleman might be playing his last game with the team, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see him brought back because of how good he’s been over the past four years.

Dwayne Harris returns punt for 99-yard touchdown against the Broncos.
Harris got things started off right for the Raiders in their Christmas Eve victory in the last game at the Coliseum, making an alert play on a punt return, as he realized the Broncos touched the ball (attempting to down it inside the five-yard line), giving him the ability to pick it up and run with it without the risk of losing it via a fumble. It seems some players are unaware of this rule, and it was good to see Harris making the play. On the 99-yard return, he got to the sideline and received great blocking on his way to the end zone. The score set the tone for Oakland as it picked up its fourth victory of the season.
12/24/18 - 11:41 PM ET
Mike Evans scores twice against the Falcons.
Evans caught six passes for 106 yards and two touchdowns in the Bucs’ Week 17 loss. This was Evans’ first multi-touchdown game since the 2016 season, so it was a great way to end the season for fantasy owners. Evans had 86 receptions for 1,524 yards and eight touchdowns this season, and his 17.7 yards per reception were the most of his career. The 1,524 yards set a Bucs single-season franchise record. Entering his sixth season at 26 years old (next August), Evans will be a great bet to hit 1,000 yards for his sixth-straight year. He’ll likely go around the third round in most 2019 fantasy drafts.
12/31/18 - 08:31 AM ET
The Redskins placed Jordan Reed (ankle/foot) on injured reserve.
This has seemed like it was going to happen, but the Redskins were probably holding off in case they made the postseason and Reed was able to get healthy for a potential run. Reed’s season ends with 54 receptions for 558 yards and two touchdowns in 13 games. The former Pro Bowl tight end didn’t look to be 100% all season, but he appeared the his second-most games of his six-year career. Reed is still under contract for three more seasons, and he’ll turn just 29 this offseason, but it wouldn’t be surprising if the Redskins just cut him because of the injury issues he’s had throughout his career. If Reed is 100% and can stay there, he’ll still have solid upside as a TE1 option in 2019 fantasy drafts, but his injury concerns are about as high as any player in the league.
12/27/18 - 11:33 AM ET
Randall Cobb is off the Week 17 injury report.
Cobb has cleared concussion protocol and is ready to go for Sunday against the Lions. The veteran receiver is not a highly-recommended fantasy option with titles on the line, but it’ll be good to see him out there in Green Bay’s season finale.
