Join now >The Panthers signed quarterback Garrett Gilbert.
Gilbert spent time the last two years with Carolina, and he was cut by them before the regular season this year. So he has some familiarity with Norv Turner’s offense, but we expect undrafted rookie Kyle Allen will get the start this Sunday against the Saints with Taylor Heinicke on injured reserve. Gilbert is not a recommended fantasy pickup.

Marcus Mariota (neck) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday night.
Mariota was a limited participant in practice for the second straight day. Titans head coach Mike Vrabel says that all three quarterbacks (Mariota, Blaine Gabbert, and Austin Davis) could be active and contribute on Sunday night against the Colts. In a win-and-in Week 17 matchup, we expect Mariota will give it a go at less than 100%, but he’s obviously very hard to trust in fantasy lineups.

Lamar Miller (ankle) was officially a full participant in today’s practice.
This is a great sign for Miller, and it indicates he should be ready to go for Week 17 against the Jaguars. However, Houston might still exercise caution if Miller isn’t 100%, as his availability for the playoffs is most important. We’ll update you with his official game status when it’s released sometime tomorrow.

Leonte Carroo held without a catch in loss to the Bills.
He was targeted once. Carroo’s season ends with just two receptions for 94 yards and a touchdown. The 2016 third-round pick enters restricted free agency in the offseason.

Russell Shepard (ankle) has been ruled out for the season finale.
Shepard’s season ends with ten receptions for 188 yards and two touchdowns, as he was solid as a situational big-play threat for the Giants in his first season with the team. Shepard will be a free agent this offseason, but we’d think the Giants will look at brining him back next year.

Cody Latimer scores against the Cowboys.
Latimer caught four passes for 72 yards and a touchdown in the Giants’ season finale. The 2014 second-round pick of the Broncos made some nice plays throughout the game, and the 72 yards were a career-high while the score was his first touchdown as a Giant. Latimer’s season ends with 11 receptions for 190 yards and a touchdown in six games. The Giants brought him back off injured reserve as a designated-to-return player this season, and they probably liked what they saw from him. Latimer will likely have a role with the team in 2019.

Jordy Nelson leads the Raiders in Week 16 receiving.
Nelson caught seven passes (on ten targets) for 75 yards against the Broncos in the Raiders’ Christmas Eve victory. The veteran receiver mostly worked as a reliable underneath-to-intermediate target for Derek Carr, who was putting his passes to him on the money particularly on in-breaking routes. Nelson now has 29 receptions for 308 yards the last four weeks, which would be a 116-reception, 1,232-yard pace over 16 games, so he offers a solid floor in Week 17 against a Chiefs team he had a 10/97/0 line against a few weeks ago.
