Leggett gained six yards on his lone reception versus the Dolphins. The Clemson product has upside, but his role isn’t big enough to deliver fantasy value right now, and rookie Chris Herndon looks like the team’s clear top option at tight end moving forward.

Eric Tomlinson catches one pass against the Dolphins.
Tomlinson gained six yards on his lone Week 9 reception. Rookie tight end Chris Herndon is the Jets tight end to own in fantasy right now.

Trenton Cannon gets one touch in Week 9.
Cannon caught one pass for 15 yards against the Dolphins. The rookie running back is down to No. 3 on the depth chart with Elijah McGuire now in the mix in the Jets backfield. Cannon’s role may increase at the expense of Isaiah Crowell moving forward, though, as Crowell hasn’t played well lately.

Jermaine Kearse catches three passes in Week 9.
Kearse drew a team-high nine targets against the Dolphins, but he and Sam Darnold couldn’t connect much. The veteran receiver gained 20 yards on his three receptions. Kearse is difficult to trust in fantasy lineups right now.

Quincy Enunwa catches three passes against the Dolphins.
In his return after missing two games with an ankle injury, Enunwa gained 40 yards on his three receptions in the Jets’ Week 9 loss. His 40 yards were the most among wide receivers for the Jets, and Enunwa is probably back to assuming the role of Sam Darnold’s top target at wide receiver. Still, he doesn’t offer a very high floor as a FLEX option right now. Enunwa faces the Bills next week.

Chris Herndon leads the Jets in Week 9 receiving.
The rookie tight end continues to play well for the Jets, catching four passes (on four targets) for 62 yards versus Miami, where he played his college ball with the Hurricanes. This ends Herndon’s streak of three straight games with a touchdown, but he now has fantasy point totals of 11, 10, 7, and 6 (standard scoring) in the last four games. He’s worth a look if you’re hurting at tight end or need to stream someone with your starter on a bye.

Robby Anderson catches four passes in Week 9.
Anderson gained 32 yards on his four receptions against the Dolphins, and he also had one carry for one yard. The Jets reportedly received a trade offer from the Eagles for Anderson ahead of the deadline, but they apparently think his presence is key to help the development of rookie quarterback Sam Darnold. Still, Anderson is not a highly-recommended fantasy option right now.
