Join now >Christian Kirk scores game-winning touchdown in Week 8.
Kirk ran an in-breaking route in the end zone late in the game, getting open for fellow rookie Josh Rosen to hit him in back of the end zone. Overall, Kirk had three receptions for 42 yards and a touchdown. Through eight games, the second-round pick is on pace for 62 receptions, 820 yards, and four touchdowns along with 24 rushing yards on four attempts. The final eight games of the season look good on paper for Kirk, so he’s worth a look as a pickup if available in your league.

The Niners re-signed Tom Savage.
Savage was released ahead of last night’s game, but he’s now back with the Niners. The veteran quarterback will be the third quarterback behind C.J. Beathard and Nick Mullens.

DeAndre Wahington rushed five times for 27 yards in Thursday night’s loss to the 49ers.
Washington didn’t appear to play a snap until the fourth quarter when Oakland pulled some veteran starters down 31-3. The 25-year-old isn’t a fantasy option behind Doug Martin and Jalen Richard.

The 49ers placed Raheem Mostert (forearm) on injured reserve.
Mostert is getting surgery to fix the gruesome injury suffered in last night’s win against the Raiders, and he’s thankfully expected to make a full recovery and be ready to go in 2019. We wish him the best of luck and look forward to seeing him on the field next year. Mostert’s season ends with 34 carries for 261 yards (a whopping 7.7 yards per carry) and one touchdown along with six receptions for 25 yards. Mostert will be 27 this offseason, and we’d think plenty of other teams will be interested in signing him in free agency if he doesn’t return to San Francisco.

Randall Cobb (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game against the Patriots.
Cobb is expected to play after getting in a full practice today, and he could get more work than he did in last week’s return with Geronimo Allison (hamstring/groin) listed as doubtful. The veteran has had a knack for showing up in big games, so Cobb is worth considering in all formats as a FLEX option. Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Equanimeous St. Brown are also worth considering in what should be a shootout, but the former is the recommended option behind Cobb and Davante Adams.

George Kittle breaks another long gain with a touchdown in Niners’ win.
Kittle continues his breakout campaign, putting in a big performance on just four targets against the Raiders, catching four passes for 108 yards and a touchdown. The second-year tight end’s highlight was a one-handed grab in traffic over the middle, which he then took for a 71-yard gain (after getting through very poor tackling at the point-of-catch) before getting tackled just a few yards short of the end zone. He then followed it up with a wide-open touchdown off a play-action fake to cap that drive. Kittle will obviously be a great TE1 option when he faces the Giants in a couple of Mondays.
