Join now >Geronimo Allison (hamstring/groin) is listed as doubtful for Week 9.
A groin injury in practice wasn’t a great sign for Allison’s status, and he’s now likely to miss Sunday night against the Patriots. Expect him to be officially ruled out on Sunday.

Larry Fitzgerald breaks out in Cardinals’ win.
Fitzgerald has his best game of the season against the Niners, catching eight passes (on 12 targets) for 102 yards and a touchdown. The score came in the fourth quarter as Fitzgerald got pretty much wide-open in the end zone on a post, and he later caught a two-point conversion to put the Cardinals up three points late. After the conversion, Fitzgerald spiked the ball and later hilariously apologized for it (he typically just tosses the ball to the officials); but he was probably emotional in what’s been a trying season. Through eight games, Fitz is on pace for 68 receptions, 714 yards, and four touchdowns. But in the first game under new offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich, the Cardinals clearly made an effort to get Fitzgerald, who lined up all over the field, the ball; the team probably told rookie quarterback Josh Rosen to feed the future Hall of Famer and give him a chance to make plays with his big wingspan. The Cardinals have a bye this week, but Fitz looks like he might work himself back into at least a strong FLEX option in the second half given an upcoming schedule that looks good on paper.

Jacob Hollister (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 9.
Hollister hasn’t played since Week 2, but he appears to be getting close to a return. We’ll see if he’s able to suit up against the Packers on Sunday night.
11/2/18 - 04:07 PM ET
Doug Martin rushed 11 times for 49 yards in Thursday night’s loss to the Niners.
He also added a 20-yard reception. The veteran was one of the lone bright spots for Oakland on a night that they were embarrassed, 34-3, as he showed good power and burst before leaving the game in the fourth quarter to avoid injury. Jon Gruden wants to establish the run no matter what the score, so Martin should still be considered a quality low-end RB2/FLEX play for Week 10 against the Chargers.
11/1/18 - 11:25 PM ET
Cordarrelle Patterson (neck) is listed as questionable for Week 9.
Patterson is on the injury report with a neck injury, but he was able to practice on a limited basis today. We expect he’ll be out there against the Packers, but his status might not be locked in until around 7:00 PM ET on Sunday.
11/2/18 - 04:05 PM ET
Jared Cook caught four passes for 74 yards and a touchdown in Sunday’s loss to the Colts.
Cook was second on the team with five targets, and his score came on a 25-yard catch-and-run in the first half. The veteran should remain a TE1 option for Thursday night’s matchup with the 49ers, but San Francisco has the athletic linebackers to potentially cover Cook, which is something to keep in mind.
10/29/18 - 12:31 PM ET
Julian Edelman (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 9.
If the NFL still offered a “probable” injury designation, Edelman would almost certainly be listed as that. Edelman is not going to miss Sunday night’s big matchup against the Packers, so you shouldn’t be worried about New England not kicking off until Sunday night.
