Join now >Joe Mixon goes off in win over the Buccaneers.
Mixon rushed 21 times for 123 yards and two touchdowns, also adding three carries for 15 yards. Almost all of the damage came in the first half, but fantasy owners should take it, as Mixon played like a superstar as he consistently shredded Tampa Bay’s defense with top-end vision, patience, and burst. Despite missing two games, the second-year back is on pace for 210 carries for 1,018 yards (4.8 YPC) and eight touchdowns with a 38/230/2 pace through the air. Cincinnati would do well to feature Mixon more as a receiver following the bye, but he’s an elite RB1 play down the stretch, including in Week 10 against New Orleans.

The Bills have officially signed quarterback Matt Barkley.
It sounded like this would happen when Derek Anderson was revealed to be in the concussion protocol, so the former fourth-round pick has a good chance of backing up Nathan Peterman this weekend against the Bears. Barkley could easily end up under center on Sunday, but hopefully Peterman can surprise people.

Jaylen Samuels gets first career touches in Week 8.
The rookie running back carried four times for 17 yards against the Browns. After a Stevan Ridley fumble, Samuels might start getting some touches each week, but he’s not a fantasy option right now.

The Jaguars have signed Landry Jones.
Blake Bortles is dealing with a non-throwing-arm shoulder injury, so Jones is being signed as insurance. But Jacksonville is on a bye, and it’d be as surprise if Bortles isn’t ready to go in Week 10. Jones might not even be active in a couple of weeks unless the Jags want to have three quarterbacks dressed on game day.

James Conner dominates in Steelers’ Week 8 win.
Conner had 24 carries for 146 yards and two touchdowns along with five receptions for 66 yards against the Browns. Throughout the game, Conner was a beast of a runner and a reliable receiver, showing great vision, speed, acceleration, and the ability to pick up positive yardage after contact—which is what he’s done all season. Against Cleveland alone this season, Conner has put up 60 standard fantasy points in two matchups. The second-year running back is the first player in Steelers franchise history with over 100 rushing yards and two touchdowns in three straight games, and he’s the first player in the league with such a streak since Chris Johnson in 2009. And through just seven games, Conner already has four games with 100 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. Conner will remain a great RB1 option in Week 9 despite a matchup with a stingy Ravens defense.

The Bills signed Terrelle Pryor.
Pryor spent The beginning of the season with the Jets but was released earlier this month because of a groin injury. He joins Kelvin Benjamin and others in a receiver group with a ton of size, but none of them are recommended fantasy options right now. Pryor will look to play well and earn a long-term deal this offseason.
10/30/18 - 05:30 PM ET
Andy Dalton, Bengals hold off comeback attempt by the Bucs to improve to 5-3.
Dalton was 21/34 for 280 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions, also adding three carries for ten yards. It wasn’t a perfect game as Dalton missed some throws, but he connected with Tyler Boyd (nine yards) and A.J. Green (17 yards) for scores, which combined with Joe Mixon’s big first half, was enough to hold off Tampa Bay, 37-34. Through eight games, Dalton is on pace for 4,204 yards with a 34:16 touchdown-interception ratio, and he gets an attackable matchup at home against New Orleans following a Week 9 bye.
