Join now >Derek Anderson has a concussion.
This is likely part of what forced the veteran quarterback out of the end of last night’s game, though he appeared to be holding his arm, too. Hopefully Anderson is feeling better soon, but second-year quarterback Nathan Peterman is expected to start against the Bears on Sunday.

Ben Roethlisberger plays well in Steelers’ win against the Browns.
Roethlisberger was 24/36 for 257 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception along with two carries for six yards in the Week 8 victory. Both touchdowns were to Antonio Brown, with one coming on a 43-yard deep ball after Roethlisberger did a great job of buying time in the pocket; and the other was on a quick screen at the goal line. Big Ben next faces a Ravens team he had 274 yards with one touchdown and one interception against in Week 4.

Nathan Peterman is expected to start for the Bills this week, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Derek Anderson is dealing with a concussion, so the second-year quarterback is set to draw the start against the Bears. The Chicago D/ST would have been the top fantasy defense for Week 9 regardless, but Peterman has struggled in limited action to this point in his career. He’s set to get valuable experience leading a 2-6 team, though.

Justin Watson catches first career pass in loss to the Bengals.
It was a five-yard reception on his only target. The rookie is blocked by Adam Humphries in the slot, but he’s an intriguing dynasty prospect.

C.J. Beathard (right wrist) will be a game-time decision for Thursday night.
The short week complicates things as Beathard attempts to give it a go against the Raiders while dealing with his right wrist injury. Expect the second-year quarterback to be listed as questionable when the official injury report for the game is released tomorrow. If Beathard can’t go, second-year undrafted quarterback Nick Mullens would start for the Niners, which would likely give the Raiders D/ST a boost for Week 9.

Cameron Brate catches one pass in Week 8 loss.
It went for 13 yards, as the Harvard product was targeted just twice. Brate is nothing more than a low-floor TE2 with O.J. Howard turning into a star.

The Ravens are acquiring running back Ty Montgomery from the Packers.
This is according to multiple reports, and it comes a couple days after Montgomery apparently drew the ire of some teammates for taking a kickoff out of the end zone and fumbling it late in Green Bay’s loss to the Rams. Montgomery is an excellent addition for the Ravens, as he’s a skilled receiver out of the backfield that can also run well between the tackles. Montgomery’s presence will take pressure off Joe Flacco, but it adds to the committee backfield for the Ravens. Alex Collins’ fantasy value takes a slight hit, while Javorius Allen is likely to be very difficult to trust in lineups moving forward. Montgomery isn’t a highly-recommended wavier wire add, but he’s worth a look in deeper leagues.
