Dorsett wasn’t targeted against Buffalo, and it didn’t look like he was out there for more than a couple snaps. There’s been talk of New England adding a receiver at the trade deadline, but the fact that the former first-round pick has been on the sidelines since the team acquired Josh Gordon makes it seem unlikely. Dorsett won’t be a recommended fantasy option in Week 9 against Green Bay.

Damion Ratley catches one pass in Week 8.
Ratley’s lone reception i the loss to the Steelers went for 21 yards. Ratley is an intriguing dynasty-league hold, but he’s not a fantasy option right now.

James Develin catches one pass in win over the Bills.
It was a seven-yard reception. The fullback isn’t a recommended fantasy option heading into a matchup with the Packers.

Dontrell Hilliard catches one pass in Week 8.
The first career reception for the undrafted rookie running back went for 24 yards. Hilliard is not a fantasy option right now, but he’s someone to keep an eye on.

Josh Gordon caught four-of-six targets for 42 yards in Monday night’s win over the Bills.
NFL Network reported before the game that Gordon would be held out for a few series due to “tardiness” this week, but he was on the field for the first snap and saw a deep ball (which he couldn’t track) on the first series. More concerning for Gordon on Monday night was the coverage of Tre’Davious White, as Tom Brady has more success targeting Julian Edelman and James White underneath. It sounds like the pre-game report about the 27-year-old was simply a case of fake news, but fantasy owners should at least be reminded that Gordon is probably a mistake away from ruining what could be his final chance in the league. He gets a much better matchup next Sunday night against the Packers, so consider Gordon a high-upside WR2.

Adam Humphries sees ten targets in Week 8 loss.
Humphries caught seven passes for 76 yards, but Tampa Bay dropped to 3-4 as their comeback attempt fell just short thanks to a last-second field goal by the Bengals. Humphries had become a bigger factor since Jameis Winston retook the starting job, but now that Ryan Fitzpatrick would seem to have earned the role back with Sunday’s performance, the slot receiver might not be as big a factor down the stretch. That said, DeSean Jackson sounds like he could be traded, so Humphries could potentially be locked into a full-time role for a pass-happy attack.
10/29/18 - 10:48 AM ET
Rob Gronkowski caught three passes for 43 yards in New England’s 25-6 victory over the Bills.
Gronkowski saw a healthy eight targets in his return from a one-game absence due to back spasms, but he just narrowly missed a couple potential connections with Tom Brady. The all-time great tight end is on pace for just a 58/896/2 line at the season’s midway point, but he’s a prime buy-low candidate that is pound to breakout eventually. Perhaps it will come next Sunday night against the Packers in what should be a high-scoring affair.
