Join now >Anthony Miller suffers shoulder injury against the Cardinals.
The rookie receiver was grabbing at his wrist area after a target in the end zone, and it’s apparently a wrist injury. He’s now on the sideline with no helmet or gloves, and his day is probably done. Before leaving, Miller had four receptions for 35 yards. Hopefully whatever he’s dealing with isn’t too serious.

Marvin Jones (ankle) is officially active for Week 3.
Jones was listed as questionable for tonight’s game against the Patriots, but there was little doubt he would play. It’s possible Jones sees a lot of Stephon Gilmore in the game, but the Patriots are banged up in the secondary. Overall, Jones can be inserted into fantasy lineups as a WR2/FLEX option.

Kerryon Johnson handles 13 touches in loss to the 49ers.
Johnson rushed eight times for 43 yards and added five receptions for 23 yards in the 30-27 defeat. Even with Theo Riddick catching nine passes, it was good to see the rookie involved as a receiver, and we would think that his weekly role is only going to grow as the season progresses. Now might be a good time to buy-low on Johnson, as he could be showcased in front of a national audience against New England on Sunday night. Consider him a FLEX option in that matchup.

Josh Gordon (hamstring) is inactive for Week 3.
The Patriots debut for the ultra-talented receiver will have to wait at least one week. Gordon was limited in practice all week during his first few days in New England, and he’s learning a new playbook, so this is not a surprise. For those that were hoping to insert Tom Brady’s new target in Week 3 fantasy lineups and didn’t already have a backup plan should probably look at Phillip Dorsett, who remains the team’s No. 2 wide receiver, if he’s available.

DaeSean Hamilton doesn’t catch a pass in Week 2.
Hamilton doesn’t need to be owned outside of dynasty leagues at the moment.

The Niners fear a torn ACL for Jimmy Garoppolo.
Unfortunately, this was kind of obvious after Garoppolo suffered a non-contact knee injury, and Niners head coach Kyle Shanahan said a torn ACL is the fear. Garoppolo will get an MRI tomorrow, but it looks like the Niners will be without their prized franchise quarterback for the rest of the season. Hopefully we hear some surprise good news, though.

Matthew Stafford, Lions come up short in comeback attempt.
Stafford completed 34/53 passes for 347 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions in a 30-27 loss to the 49ers. He also added an eight-yard rush and lost a fumble. Stafford hit Kenny Golladay on a 30-yard score in the first quarter, but Detroit couldn’t find the end zone until he connected with Marvin Jones and Michael Roberts in the fourth quarter. Overall, fantasy owners will take the numbers, but the Lions need to right the ship soon, and it won’t be easy against the Patriots on Sunday Night Football. That said, Stafford will probably need to put up points and is on the QB1 map for Week 3.
