Join now >Marvin Jones scores in Week 2 loss.
Jones caught four passes for 54 yards, including a five-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. So far, the emergence of Kenny Golladay and the strong play of Golden Tate hasn’t put a big dent in Jones’ fantasy value, and he looks like a weekly WR2/FLEX option in standard leagues. He will likely see quite a bit of Stephon Gilmore on Sunday night against the Patriots, but fantasy owners probably don’t need to steer clear of that matchup.

Phillip Dorsett leaves game with apparent leg injury.
On a deep ball attempt on fourth-and-long with the Patriots down two possessions, Dorsett immediately went down and grabbed his knee area. It’s unclear where Dorsett was injured, but hopefully it’s not too serious. His night is probably over, though. Dorsett had no catches before leaving, but he was targeted on a deep ball in double coverage that was intercepted, and Tom Brady missed him open over the middle early in the game. Overall, it just wasn’t a good game for the Patriots.

Cardinals offense gets shut down in Week 2.
Through two weeks, Arizona probably has the worst offense in the NFL, in large part because the offensive line is struggling to block anyone. Receivers aside from Larry Fitzgerald aren’t getting free down the field, but Sam Bradford has barely any time to throw. Bradford was 17/27 for 90 yards and an interception against the Rams. The interception came on a pass where Bradford was trying to force the ball to the intermediate part of the field to get something going. We think the Cardinals might try to use Bradford as a scapegoat and play rookie Josh Rosen, but this has been a terrible situation through two weeks, giving Bradford basically no chance to get the offense moving.

Rex Burkhead is being evaluated for a neck injury.
It’s unclear when Burkhead suffered the injury, but he’s in the locker room being evaluated. Hopefully it’s not too serious, but Burkhead’s night might be over with under ten minutes to go in the game.

Kenny Golladay has another big game, but Lions fall to 49ers.
Golladay caught six passes for 89 yards and a touchdown, which came from 30 yards out in the first quarter. “Babytron” has now gone for lines of 7/114 and 6/89/1 to start the season, and he needs to be added in all leagues that he’s somehow available in as a high-upside FLEX option. It will be interesting to see how New England defends him on Sunday Night Football in Week 3.

Cardinals bench Sam Bradford for Josh Rosen.
Bradford started the game hot with two first-quarter touchdowns, but he then probably started to try to make too much happen when it wasn’t there, turning the ball over three times. Reports that the Cardinals were going to bench Bradford during today’s game if the offense struggled again likely affected his play a bit, and we have believed the team was ready to make Bradford a scapegoat for the issues they’re having—and they’ve taken the opportunity to do it with Bradford’s three turnovers. Rookie Josh Rosen is now entering the game for the Cardinals, with the team down by two with under five minutes remaining against the Bears. Before leaving, Bradford was 13/19 for 157 yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions, and one fumble lost.

Golden Tate goes over 100 yards as Lions fall to the Niners.
Tate caught seven passes for 109 yards, with the highlight coming on a 67-yard catch and run that he nearly housed. Despite Detroit’s offense struggling for basically seven quarters before coming alive in the fourth on Sunday, Tate has gone for 7/79/1 and 7/109 to start the year, and he looks like a solid, every-week WR2/FLEX option in standard leagues with a boost in PPR formats. He could give the Patriots problems on Sunday night.
