Join now >The Falcons have selected Southern Miss running back Ito Smith with the 126th pick of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Smith is obviously going to be behind Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman on the depth chart, but the small-school back could step in as a change-of-pace option as soon as 2019 if Tevin Coleman hits free agency and goes elsewhere. He can be ignored for fantasy purposes this summer.

The Texans have re-signed running back Alfred Blue.
Houston did not draft any running backs late last week, and they’ve always liked Blue, so this makes a ton of sense. Blue has spent each of his first four seasons with the Texans, and he’s a pretty good bet to make the roster and make it five straight years. While Blue runs hard when given opportunities, he’s not a recommended fantasy option behind Lamar Miller and D’Onta Foreman at the moment.

The Dolphins have selected Notre Dame tight end Durham Smythe with the 123rd pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Miami went with a tight end last night when they selected Mike Gesicki out of Penn State, and Adam Gase gets another target with Smythe. Gesicki will be more of a move tight end, while Smythe will be asked to block more, so he probably won’t be a fantasy contributor in 2018.

Vikings wide receiver Cayleb Jones has been suspended four games for violating the NFL’s PED policy.
Jones was a star in Minnesota’s preseason finale last season with nine receptions for 127 yards and a touchdown, but that didn’t lead to any opportunities in the regular season, as he spent the year on the practice squad. The suspension obviously harms his chances of cracking the 53-man roster this summer, but Jones could stick around with a wide open depth chart behind Adam Thielen, Stefon Diggs, Laquon Treadwell, and Kendall Wright. The six-foot-three wideout turned 25 in March.

The Seahawks have selected Washington tight end Will Dissly with the 120th pick (fourth round) in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Dissly stays right at home in Seattle and will join a Seahawks tight end group that lost Jimmy Graham in free agency. He’s definitely someone to keep an eye on in dynasty leagues, and it’s possible he makes an impact as a rookie if he gets a big enough role.

The Packers have released quarterback Joe Callahan.
The 2016 undrafted quarterback is someone Green Bay clearly likes, but he fell victim to a numbers game after the team traded for former Browns quarterback DeShone Kizer earlier this offseason. Callahan was with the Packers the last two seasons, but he also previously spent time with the Saints and Browns in 2016. He’ll get interest from other teams.

J.T. Barrett is signing with the Saints as an undrafted free agent.
Albert Breer reported over the weekend that the former Ohio State star would be signing with the Colts, but that was apparently false. Instead, one of the most successful quarterbacks in Big Ten history will be joining another legendary Big Ten quarterback, Drew Brees, in New Orleans. Barrett will participate in rookie minicamp with the hopes of sticking around with the Saints and getting a shot in training camp.
