Join now >The Rams have selected Louisville wide receiver Tutu Atwell with the No. 57 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Atwell is somewhat of a surprise selection for a Rams team that was already pretty set at receiver. The super fast Louisville product made news recently for weighing 149 pounds, but he led the ACC in receiving yards in 2019 (1,272 yards) and scored 20 touchdowns in three years in school. Atwell will be a guy Sean McVay will want to get the ball into the hands of on offense, but it’s tough to see consistent fantasy value for him as a rookie.

The Seahawks have selected Western Michigan wide receiver D’Wayne Eskridge with the No. 56 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Eskridge is a big-play receiver that primarily lines up in the slot where he uses his elite speed to get vertical. He can also contribute as a dangerous return man, which might be where his primary fit comes as a rookie. The big concern right now is Eskridge polishing his game as a route runner, but learning from Tyler Lockett should be the perfect situation for him. Fantasy owners should look to him as a high-upside stash catching passes from Russell Wilson.

The Steelers have selected Penn State tight end Pat Freiermuth with the No. 55 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Widely regarded as the top prospect at the position behind Kyle Pitts (and nicknamed “Baby Gronk” at one point), Freiermuth scored 16 touchdowns on 92 career receptions for the Nittany Lions—including eight on 26 grabs as a freshman in 2018. For the most part, fantasy owners need to keep their expectations in check for rookie tight ends (other than a unicorn like Pitts), but long-term, Freiermuth’s outlook is very promising as a well-rounded target that can work the intermediate part of the field similar to new Patriots tight end Hunter Henry. He lands with a Steelers franchise that feels like a great fit for him, and he’ll remain in the state of Pennsylvania. The full scouting report for Pittsburgh’s second-round pick can be viewed in the link below.

The Cardinals have selected Purdue wide receiver Rondale Moore with the No. 49 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
The size (five-foot-seven) makes Moore a controversial prospect, but it didn’t matter at Purdue and probably won’t matter in the NFL if Arizona takes advantage of his explosiveness and toughness with the ball in his hands. While he was limited to just seven games over the past two years, Moore still produced when on the field, and he was undoubtedly one of the best players in the nation as a true freshman with 114 receptions, 1,258 receiving yards, 21 carries, 213 rushing yards, and 14 total touchdowns back in 2018—joining legends Herschel Walker and Adrian Peterson as the only ever consensus All-American selections as true freshmen. The full scouting report for Moore can be read below; we wouldn’t recommend betting against him from a real-life or fantasy perspective. He’ll join fellow “undersized” player in quarterback Kyler Murray with the Cardinals.

The Broncos have selected North Carolina running back Javonte Williams with the No. 35 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Some viewed Williams as the top back in the draft because of his combination of power and violence, but he ends up going to the Broncos on Day 2. Despite being a power back, Williams can also do damage in the passing game considering his size, which would obviously be a boost to his fantasy value if Denver views him as a three-down option long-term, which they probably do considering they moved up in the second round to get him. In general, we would say Williams—who lacks top-tier speed—might be more of a grinder at the next level, so it’s important that the Broncos give him a solid workload to reach FLEX value as a rookie behind Melvin Gordon. You can read the full scouting report for the North Carolina product in the link below.

The Jets have selected Ole Miss wide receiver Elijah Moore with the No. 34 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Moore was basically uncoverable in his final season at Ole Miss—catching 86 passes for 1,193 yards and eight touchdowns in just eight games, including at least ten grabs in all but one appearance and a scorching hot stretch over his final few games. As a dynamic, five-foot-nine weapon, Moore is a great fit alongside Denzel Mims and Corey Davis in New York, as he could thrive as the “Robin” while possessing “Batman” ability if he ever needs to put on the cowl; he can also bring some added explosiveness to the return game for the Jets. Moore’s full scouting report can be viewed in the link below. Moore might have to sit behind Jamison Crowder Year 1, but he certainly has the skillset to be a starter as a rookie if called upon.

The Falcons signed A.J. McCarron.
Atlanta needed to add at quarterback, and they bring in the veteran former Bengal and Texan. McCarron would have plenty of weapons to work with if he’s forced into the lineup for Matt Ryan this season.
