Brock Osweiler | Retired QB

Brock Osweiler throws two interceptions in first start of 2017.

The Broncos were blown out by the Eagles, as the offensive line continued to struggle and the defense couldn’t contain Philadelphia’s offense. Osweiler was 19/38 for 208 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. The first interception was a bad one where he threw a slant to Demaryius Thomas that was easily undercut by Eagles cornerback Patrick Robinson, and the second interception was on a play where he was pressured and basically threw it deep too far inside and right to the safety when he probably should’ve tried to throw it away out of bounds. The touchdown was on a short screen to Thomas late in the game. It’s possible the struggling Broncos attempt to go to Paxton Lynch, but they might opt to stick with Osweiler on Sunday night against the Patriots—he did beat them in 2015 in a game that might’ve given Denver momentum all the way to the Super Bowl.

Sterling Shepard | Buccaneers WR

Sterling Shepard (ankle) was limited in practice.

Coming off the bye, there was hope that Shepard would be 100% and ready to go for Week 9. It’d be a surprise if he didn’t play on Sunday, but it’d be good to see him get in a full practice participation.

Eli Manning | Retired QB

Eli Manning, Giants get blown out at home by the Rams.

Manning was 20/36 for 220 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in a 51-17 loss. He also lost a fumble. New York is now 1-7 and look well on their way to a top-five pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, and head coach Ben McAdoo said they might play younger guys down the stretch, including at quarterback. It would be shocking to see Eli Manning’s consecutive-start streak end by being benched, but the team might want to see what they have in third-round pick Davis Webb or even Geno Smith before season’s end. Even in a good matchup with the 49ers next week, Eli belongs on the waiver wire.

11/6/17 - 12:59 PM ET

Jordan Reed | Retired TE

Jordan Reed (hamstring) did not practice today.

Reed probably isn’t going to play this week, but we’ll keep an eye on his practice status over the next two days leading up to his official game status being released sometime Friday.

11/1/17 - 05:40 PM ET

Carlos Hyde | Free Agent RB

Carlos Hyde has been ejected against the Cardinals.

There was a scuffle late in the fourth quarter, and Hyde was ejected along with Cardinals Haason Reddick and Frostee Rucker. Before leaving, Hyde carried 12 times for 41 yards and caught nine passes for 84 yards, as he worked as the primary target for the 49ers throughout the afternoon. With Pierre Garcon (neck) out for the season, Hyde could continue seeing even more volume in the passing game moving forward. Keep him in your lineup next week against the Giants.

11/5/17 - 08:17 PM ET

DeMarco Murray | Retired RB

DeMarco Murray (hamstring) practiced fully today.

Murray hasn’t been a full participant on a Wednesday for a while now, so it appears the bye week was a huge help in getting him healthy. The veteran back is probably a lot closer to 100% than he’s been all season, and hopefully he’ll start looking healthy and at his best out there. You can insert Murray into your lineup as a good RB1 this week against Baltimore.

Delanie Walker | Free Agent TE

Delanie Walker catches all five targets in Week 9.

Walker didn’t show any limitations while dealing with his ankle injury suffered in Week 7, gaining 71 yards on his five receptions, including a long of 25 yards. The veteran tight end is on pace for 74 receptions for 790 yards and no touchdowns, but look for him to put together some scores in the second half of the season. His reception and yardage totals are on par with last season (65 receptions for 800 yards).
