Join now >The Steelers re-signed Ray-Ray McCloud.
McCloud found a role in Pittsburgh, and the Clemson product can contribute as a returner and as a reserve receiver. Perhaps McCloud’s role on offense will expand in his second year with the Steelers.

The Saints are releasing Emmanuel Sanders.
We’re unfortunately going to see a bunch of veteran cuts over the next several days as teams attempt to navigate a lower-than-usual cap number due to COVID-19. Sanders, who will turn 34 in a week, will be looking for his fifth NFL team this offseason.

Melvin Gordon charges dismissed.
Gordon was facing a DUI charge, but those charges have been dismissed and he pleaded guilty to reckless driving. Gordon going out with friends during the season when players were supposed to be careful and quarantine could complicate this matter, but the Pro Bowl running back probably won’t face league discipline for this incident now.

The Bengals have re-signed Brandon Allen, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Allen was a trusted guy in the quarterback room for Zac Taylor, so Cincinnati is bringing him back behind Joe Burrow next season. The veteran went 1-4 in five starts last year.

The Packers are not placing the franchise tag on Aaron Jones.
As expected, Jones will be able to hit the open market. The dynamic runner could ultimately return to Green Bay, but other teams may make offers the Packers won’t be willing to match with 2020 second-round pick A.J. Dillon in the mix and potentially set to take on close to a workhorse role this season. The Dolphins are among the teams that have been speculated as possible landing spots for Jones, who has averaged 5.2 yards per carry through four seasons. Jones has scored 39 touchdowns over the past three years.

Jonnu Smith will not be franchise-tagged, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Smith joins Hunter Henry as a big-time tight end hitting the open market, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if most teams view him as the top overall target at the position this offseason (excluding Florida standout Kyle Pitts). The Bills and Jaguars are potential fits, but New England would be perhaps the most exciting destination considering how much Smith has been talked up by Bill Belichick in the past. An increased receiving role would have fantasy owners more confident about Smith as a strong TE1.

Chris Carson will hit free agency.
The Seahawks are not placing the franchise tag on Carson, so he’s set to hit free agency at the start of the new league year next week. The bruising-yet-versatile running back is an interesting player to keep an eye on, and he should receive heavy interest from other teams around the league.
