Join now >The 49ers re-signed Josh Rosen.
After joining the Niners in the middle of the season, Rosen will now get a full offseason under Kyle Shanahan and company in San Francisco. The former first-round pick will likely have a shot to compete for the backup quarterback job this offseason.

Sammy Watkins (calf) is officially active for Super Bowl LV.
All indications were that this would be the case, but the dynamic receiver is officially active against the Bucs and will give the Chiefs a boost in the Big Game. Watkins, who ismaking his playoff debut this season, came up big all postseason for Kansas City during their title run last year.

Cameron Brate (back) is officially active for the Buccaneers.
A minor back issue isn’t going to keep Brate from playing in Super Bowl LV. The tight end will work in tandem with Rob Gronkowski and should be a key target over the middle for Tom Brady against the Chiefs.

Antonio Brown (knee) is officially active for Super Bowl LV.
Things were looking iffy when Brown was considered doubtful a couple of Fridays ago, but he made progress during the week of practice leading up to today, and it was going to be hard to keep him out of a Super Bowl game. Brown’s presence will be a plus for the Bucs, and the All-Pro receiver is looking to win his first championship this evening.

Cameron Brate (back) is officially questionable for Super Bowl LV.
Being added to the injury report in middle of the week, as Brate was yesterday, is never a good sign. However, it’s been described as a cautious approach that the Bucs are taking with Brate, so we expect he’ll be out there against the Chiefs on Sunday.

Antonio Brown (knee) is officially listed as questionable for Super Bowl LV.
Brown was able to get up to a full practice and is expected to play after making progress this week. Overall, his knee would probably really need to swell up over the next two days to force him to miss the opportunity to play in the Super Bowl.
2/5/21 - 01:49 PM ET
Sammy Watkins (calf) is officially listed as questionable for Super Bowl LV.
Watkins is fully expected to give it a go with a championship on the line, but his status won’t be locked in until 90 minutes before kickoff on Sunday. Watkins practiced fully, so he’s looking close to full strength ahead of the weekend.
